First of all, all you have to do to specify which kit you would like is contact the seller after you place your order. I wanted Kit H, so I simply contacted the seller after I made the purchase and asked for "kit H." It's as simple as that.Now for the review...The clock kit works and keeps time well. The only issue I had involves the hands. When you install the minute hand, you have to balance it just right, otherwise it will screw on crooked and get caught on the hour hand. The second hand also has a tendency to want to get stuck on the minute hand, making it lose time. It may simply be because the hands are so long. I had to take it down and mess with it three different times over the period of a week to get it adjusted correctly. For the money, I guess it's worth it. Just be careful when you install it.

I installed this per the instructions to replace an old mechanism that failed. It's great to be able to replace a clock mechanism rather than replace the entire clock.Pros - Clear instructions for installation, and the actual installation was easy enough. Kept decent accuracy for a while as long I kept the battery fresh.Cons - After about a 1.5 years, it began to lose accuracy by about 1 minute per week despite fresh battery. Not a big deal for most, but over time, I'm having to keep double checking it against other clocks in the house. After 2 years, it seems to be losing accuracy more and more to about 2-3 minutes per week.

I replaced the works in a real fire melted clock. (It ran for a year after the fire) I thought I could use the old hands that were on original clock, but alas I'm going to have to take it apart and use the hands that came with the new clock kit. The hole on my old hour hand is too large for the new stem and gravity takes over and the hour hand only moves from 6 to 8 then falls back to 6.

We have an outside clock that we like a lot. Despite being under a roof overhang, the combination of moisture and variable temperatures mean that the clock mechanisms usually only last a couple of seasons. Changing the mechanism out is very easy on this clock, and it's a lot cheaper then buying a new (and probably less stylish) clock.

I was expecting different hands. It stated that there were several to choose from but I guess that you get what they want to send. I am using them but I think with different hands my clock would look better.

The pieces work great and as advertised. The description and pics are spot on. Clocks I have made using this product have functioned correctly and easy to assemble. My disappointment is more for Amazon not allowing combined shipping on multiple units.

When I bought this item there was no place for me to chose what hands I wanted. Don't really care for the hands that was chosen for me. Would rather have the H hands.
