Theater Solutions TS80W in Wall 8" Speakers Surround Sound Home Theater 2 Pair Pack

I just finished the installation. I bought them to upgrade in wall dual 3.5” woofers with 1” tweeters the last owner had in the den. I already replaced the center speaker with Klipsch. Build quality is simple but excellent. Strong fit and finish. Surprisingly large magnets on the woofer. Since I was replacing existing speakers the installation was relatively simple. Note, they are bigger than one might expect for this application. You need to have 10” stud clearance. Measure twice cut once! I had to adjust placement for studs. The cutting template was perfect. These are as big as reasonable for in wall speakers. Sound quality is surprisingly good. Voice, base and presence are all solid. They are reasonably efficient and handle lots of power without distortion. They are advised as Reference models. They make a strong attempt. Great improvement. Bang for the buck. Yep! $200 to get 4 good quality 8” in wall speakers for a home theater is strong. I’d have to spend multiples of that with a name brand to do better. In wall speakers can only do so much. These aren’t competing with quality towers or even strong bookshelf systems. It’s not their purpose.

What a great set of speakers for the price with audio quality that is right up there with the higher priced mid-range speakers. You really can't beat the quality for the price and would put these up against speakers costing twice or even three times as much because they really deliver on sound. We also bought the TSL5CR center for the full 5.1 setup and it's fantastic! After running real-time analysis (RTA) on these you get very punchy low-mids, particularly at 125hz, with flat mids (ideal) and the highs drop off right at 2k, just as I would expect. That gives you a very full range of sound really bringing your home theater to a whole new level. Highly recommended and super easy to install. Excellent quality for the price and if you pay attention while tightening them up you'll have no issues. When the screws start to feel snug stop. It's that easy. The only bad review on these was for that very reason and likely due to over-tightening, which the instructions clearly state to watch out for. Of course, today is May 4th and what better way to christen them than to put in Star Wars - The Force Awakens, right? We did and it sounds amazing!

I have utilized surround sound speakers for many years, but this was my first foray into in wall speakers. After reading reviews on several different brands, I settled on these due to their extremely low price point and my concern that I might screw something up. I have to say, I am beyond impressed with their quality. Not only that, but they were very easy to install. The only word of caution is that some of the screws for the in wall mounts broke. Of the 7 speakers I installed, 2 of them had a screw break. I haven’t noticed any rattling, so it’s virtually a non-issue for me. I would definitely recommend these to any of my friends.

Liked the contrast with the color of the room and ease of install.

This speaker set well exceeded my expectations for look and sound, a lot of quality for the money.

For the price these speakers are excellent
