Outstanding design
Really high quality metal construction. Very durable. Downside was I had to replace original nimh batteries too soon. Maybe I had old stock. Fairly bright light .

Buyer Beware
These are a rip off! Expensive and don't work. I've seen flashlights with a better light but too much trouble to pack them up and return. One was already broken when I received. The others go off and on (mostly off) but not according to the timer. They are a piece of garbage. A complete waste of money. Buyer beware on these. Don't recommend at all. Disappointed that Amazon would sell such a faulty product.

Good for our needs. May not be for everyone.
There is some good and bad with this. We'll start with the good. The price is good. The floodlight arrives essentially assembled. You basically just stick it in the ground and adjust the lamp and solar panel as needed. No need for an electrician for installation and its solar, so it doesn't tap into your power bill. Materials seem to be decent quality. Here are some POSSIBLE cons (depending on your needs and what you expect from a floodlight). We needed a floodlight to add a little illumination to our front yard, the patio in particular. We didn't want to go through the hassle or expense of a "real" floodlight. For those purposes, I would say the light is adequate but not much more than adequate. In order for the solar panel to get an optimal amount of sunlight for charging (and it is the winter right now anyway) I have had to place it a little bit far away from our patio. So the light it provides is just enough for you to see the details of the patio and, more importantly, if someone was standing there since it is semi-covered and when the front porch light is off it can be basically pitch black there. The best analogy I would give is it is a little like moonlight from a full moon. It is still dark, but you can see. Of course, we could move it closer but this time of year and the position of the house, it wouldn't get charged well. That is another point to consider. You will probably have to move this thing around depending on the time of year. Its not that heavy so it is no big deal, but some people may not like that. Of course, it is solar so you know that going in and even in the instruction manual it advises you to put it somewhere it will get plenty of light and the brightness will vary according to the time of year. It does say for effectiveness you should replace batteries once a year. That is expected to, but I thought I would mention it.If you are on a budget and looking for some cheap lighting for your house or lawn that won't add to your power bill, I think this is an option and I would not discourage anyone from buying one. If you are looking for a powerful floodlight that will be bright and light up your yard or house, than this won't do it. I haven't had it long so if I see any decrease in quality or effectiveness I will update.

Well Built, Solid Value Solar Light.
We decided to us solar landscape lighting in our back yard and low voltage in our front yard. In our back yard there is now a dozen solar lights including three different models purchased on Amzon and one purchased at Wal-mart. If you are buying solar you need to have realistic expectations. Low end solar lights are powered by one AAA battery. I have yet to find any higher end solar lights packing more power than three AA batteries. Attaching three double A batteries to a half watt or 1 watt LED bulb will never compare with Low Voltage lights that have at least ten times more electrical power and generate 10 to 30 limes more light. As such the only fair comparison in my book is to compare one solar device to another. The Nature Power Solar Floodlight is one of the better solar lights we have purchased. It is powered by 2 double AA batteries. For $10.00 at Big Box Store, we bought several Lights that had only a single AAA battery, where almost all of the housing was plastic and the reflector behind the bulb is just shiny foil. The Nature Power gives several upgrades for the price. This unit is almost entirely metal. It feel solid. It weights easily double what the plastic thing from Wal-Mart weights. The build quality and whether resistance is better. Two double AA batteries and 16 LEDs kick out more light than the Wal-Mart unit. The light color on this unit is a little warmer ( more yellow – less blue) but is not as powerful as the High Output Solar Spot Light – White Light ( By Yardbird) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007XG8HGI/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1The high output, is a $40.00+ solar light that powered by three batteries instead of the two found in Nature Power. If you are attempting to light a 20 Palm Tree instead of smaller shrub or bush and are not looking for a warm ( yellowish ) light, the High Output is the better choice. For lighting shorter objects and for buyers with a preference for a warmer light, the Nature Power is a solid value and worth the extra money as compared to mostly plastic and much dimmer alternatives found at Home Depot, Lowes or Walmart.

Died after four months -- cheap internal batteries
The light output is adequate to light a specific object. In my case it's a shed door. Don't expect it to light an entire area. (Remember to let it initially charge for two days before turning the switch from OFF to AUTO).Update. Died after four months...changed rating to2 Star. Had to replace the two AA batteries. Working again, but the rechargeable batteries it comes with are cheap off-brand.

Nature Power 21130 Solar spot light
This item is a piece of junk, a candle will give you more light. After giving a few days of charging it still will not last through the night and I live in the sun shine state.
