more then enough
This book is a very useful tool for my new hobby. The patterns at the back of the book are full size and I can copy them very quickly and easily. Plus the separate sections allow me to first see what the project should look like and then the instructions allow me to see if I can accomplish the project and finally the patterns allow me to start the project.

I love this book
The book is well written and organized. As an artist I admire the minimalistic contemporary timeless designs. The author, Yasue has done an excellent job creating something that is relatively easy to produce with a little guidance from the book. It's almost difficult to explain how well these projects are designed. They are functional, proportionally, and ergonomically correct. If you were to change one single angle it would destroy the design. The hardware and tools used to produce a professional project are minimal making these projects good for for the novice to the experienced. From an artistic standpoint producing a minimalistic design isn't as easy as it appears. It may be a simple project however it's a simple project that should be done perfectly and I think Yasue Tsuchihira has nailed it. If you like the authors designs this is a great book.

The patterns are nearly useless
The text is fine, the pictures are fine, but the patterns…one of the main selling points of this book is that it comes with patterns. The publisher decided to be cheap, they printed the patterns on a MUCH lighter weight stock AND DOUBLE SIDED THE PRINTING. If you want to use a pattern, either you have to figure out how to photocopy a massive sheet of paper or lose the patterns on the obverse.

Great Book
This is a great book with efficient and effective instructions and illustrations. The projects are fairly simple but interesting. The full size plans in the back are great and not difficult to transfer to vellum or tracing sheets to transfer the pattern. Buy this book I don't think you will be disappointed!

Beautiful book
I bought this book because I am interested in making leather projects and wanted to get a feel for the process before investing in tools. The book is beautifully done with clear color photographs and artistically modern project designs. It was inspiring to learn that the attractive projects appear to be within reach of someone without previous leather working experience. I now have a good sense of the process and tools that are required, and I look forward to working through the projects in the book. The patterns that are included in the back of the book are a nice bonus.

20 great projects, well described and with clear technical instructions. Excellent book.
I happen to know the author personally through her official brand, Urukust. I was amazed to discover this book. Tsuchihira-san is an extremely talented design and craftsman, she shares some fantastic designs in this book and gives simple easy to follow instructions on how to actually make them. Japanese designers and craftsmen don't often share their designs and techniques, having access to this book is a privilege - don't miss it while it is still available!
