A good purchase

I bought this nailer a couple weeks ago and have put it to some use in that time. Although I was disappointed, to say the least, to see that it is actually made in Taiwan rather than USA like Amazon states, it is still a good tool. Mostly made of plastic and aluminum, it is very light weight and appears to be able to hold up to the light duty use I will be putting it to. I have shot various sizes of brads, of various brands, and haven't had any jams or problems. The air I supply to the gun is around 80psi and I've shot brads into very hard, very dense hardwoods, and very soft woods as well without a problem at this pressure. I figure it's best to use the lowest pressure you can as it saves wear and tear on both nailer and compressor. I've deliberately shot nails into knots (even though this should be avoided) and they have all gone in without a problem - 5/8" to 2" brads. The tool is very easy to use and comes with a case which is nice. For the price this brad nailer is in the top end of its class in my opinion - especially since all the others are also made in Taiwan. I'm confident it will give me years of good service if used and maintained properly.

Best Nailer Ever

Some Are right the instructions are for the pros, but with a little help a Beginners dream. So here you go.The Knob on the back directs the exhaust were you want it so the blast of air does not hit your face or get in the way. great feature, because I have been using air tools for over 20 years. To release the a jammed nail(if you ever get one) thats what the little lever on the side is for, and the wheel next to the trigger adjust the depth, when you turn it you can see the pad where the nail comes out move up and down. most of the time I just leave it at the factory setting flush with the base, experment if you want to make the nail as flush as possible to the surface of the wood. Me I just add filler and paint, dont like seeing the nail head.To shoot just depress the pad on the wood and pull the trigger. This is a great product with really no fuss. The best I have used.Love it.

don't expect instructions

Not a bad nailer BUTThe only instructions it come with are how to load nails and those aren't very clear. The online 'instructions' at Paslode's website are only the warranty, nothing else.I contacted Paslode service and they sent me a manual for 4 other nailers, not this one.It works, es. Adjusting the depth is a guessing game without a manual. There is a large knob on top of the gun the purpose of which is a mystery.

Paslode is amazing, and Made in the USA

This is an awesome little brad nailer, I only wish it had a hanging clip. I would buy the pin nailer if I had a need for it.

Not what is it cracked up to be

I just picked up one of these to use in my trim carpentry business. It did not impress me at all.Pros,It is plastic so it is very light.Cons,It is plastic, so I have to question the longevity.Since it is so light, it has a descent kick when you fire it. also quite a bit louder than my other guns. I could stomach these "flaws" if it worked well. But it didn't in my case. What would happen is when firing a nail, the driver would shoot over the top of the nail about 1/4 of the time. So the nail would sit proud of the surface and you would also see where the driver would hit the wood above the nail, basically leaving 2 holes, and the nail itself not sinking. When I would use it to nail casings to the wall, if I shoot 8 nails, 3 would need to be sunk with a nail set. This was standard (7/16" x 2-1/2") casing through 1/2" rock in to the framing. So absolutely nothing that should hinder the nails setting. This is completely unacceptable, especially when your lively hood depends on time (having to go back and set the nails) and leaving as small of a hole as possible. So, maybe I got a dud, but I can't recommend this to anyone else.

Bravo Passlode, this is the best 18ga Brad nailer I’ve ever used, the new snout tip is awesome, it precisely drives in nails

This gun is amazing, the tip of it is like a long duck snout which really lets you see where the nail is going. And the tip is just a tad curved so you can get that Brad nail in the beaded part of a window casing. I purchased this gun after myself and the guys on my crew were having issues with my DeWalt 18 ga Brad nailer, which was misfiring and jamming. That gun would shoot nails in weird places, marring my workpiece. Not this little baby, I’m telling you folks, the lads over at Passlode really did their research and the most amazing part of this tool, is the snout which lets you really precisely see where the nail is going and than drives the nail in perfectly setting it.Passlode makes the best air tools period , stay away from their cordless tools for they suck, but the Passlode air tools are da best. I ended up getting their new 16ga straight nailer when I saw that they adopted the same snout precision tip that is on this gun on the struggling with my DeWalt gun that would misfire and screw up my work piece, this Passlode 18 ga pin nailer rocks and is a pleasure to work with.
