TeakStationGrade-A Teak Wood Shower/Bath Room/Pool Bench with Shelf

I ordered this to have a sturdy and comfortable, durable shower seat in our large walk-in shower stall. As a person with a chronic, severe illness, having a stable and comfortable seat is essential for me to bathe comfortably, and all the plastic ones out there are just slippery and uncomfortable.This seat is made of solid teakwood, it is heavy and doesn't slide around on the shower tile floor. it is also slightly curved, and so is very comfortable to sit in and has a shelf underneath for placement of essentials like soap, sponges, brushes, or whatever else you use in the shower. The sides of the seat are strong and made of steel or a very strong aluminum and are great balance grips.I did order a special teakwood preserving oil and spent three days prior to use rubbing it into the wood and allowing the chair to sit in the sun afterwards so that the oil would penetrate and provide some good conditioning and protection for the wood. The teakwood oil also serves as a cleaner and I would probably clean and wipe down the seat every few months just to keep the wood in good condition and to prevent any moisture-slime from forming. (although Teak is notoriously resistant to that, the fact that there is a lot of soap used in the shower might affect the wood over time, so better to be safe and take care of the investment).I'd also like to point out that this is the EXACT same model that is sold by Frontgate for hundreds of dollars - so the value for purchase here on Amazon is amazingly good.I highly recommend this product to anyone needing a great shower or spa seat.

Just re-modeled my master bath and put in a big shower stall with plain white tile on 3 walls...as a bachelor, i hate having to clean showers so i built it with no soap trays or anything else sticking out from my flat walls...so i needed someplace to put soap, shampoo, etc. ...this was perfect for me and looks great too...it does leave a reddish stain around the floor drain after the shower dries, but it washes away immediately at the beginning of the next shower...i assume it's due to the new teak and will diminish over time.if you're looking for a teak shower bench, this one is nice

It is much larger than expected. We bought this size for a large 7 foot by 3 foot walk in shower. It works well, but it does kind of over power the shower space if 2 people are in it. If you are going to go w/ this size, make sure you have the room. Also, would recommend getting some teak oil and applying it as directed to keep it protected - especially if you have hard water, like we do.

No complaints have had for several years now - just as good as the day i got it and very sturdy.

The bench is well made and sturdy. It could have been a little smaller. The shelf is a big plus.

It guarantees it will be mildew free, which is was not. Within one year, I have mildew on it. I appreciate the fact that it is sturdy, came put together, which was very convenient, but the mildew factor is obviously unwanted.

It came assembled, is sturdy, is well designed, looks great and is very functional

Gift for someone who loves to spend a lot of time in a hot shower ... arrived in a timely fashion; well constructed and attractive; used teak oil and it looks great! Holds up to a ton of warm/hot water.
