The first book I have read by this author and I enjoyed it. Nice easy read with characters that are likeable and realistic. Sebastian is a NY police detective who moves in with Matilda (Tilly) renting the extra room. Chemistry is almost instant between them but they keep their distance until they can't! Sebastian doesn't want to have a relationship with anyone because of his job, the long hours and the danger involved. Tilly is drawn to him but knows he doesn't want a relationship. I liked them together and I like seeing Sebastian gradually change and to see his caring side. I have one negative, without doing a spoiler, the added subplot and I will not say anything else about it. It did not stop me from liking the book I just didn't think it was necessary in my opinion. Other characters in this book are interesting and add to the story. This is a great book to take on a vacation as it is light easy read. Recommend this book.

...even though Bladon's written it with that same, detached technique she uses in all her books. Yet, in this one, she inserted more personality, worked a little harder, used the right words - something made this book likeable to me. Perhaps it's persimmon characters Sebastian and Matilda, who are completely real, not artificial or plastic, characters/protagonists whose personalities and situations work for this romance. One of my favorite things about this writer is her twists and all-paths-lead-to-one-supreme-answer mysteries. Love them in this book, hate them in others (Risk was one I had to wrap my head around - too many of those paths for comfort made it Twilight Zone). Anyway, great start for these two, who were so likeable and adorable together the readers saw their hook-up and happy-ever-after way before they did since they were so nice and humble they each thought the other was out of their league. This was sweet! Meant to be! Five times five stars!

Sebastian and Tilly were everything I’d hoped they would be.“She comes fast and hard against my mouth, her cries bringing tears to the corners of my eyes.”This was Sebastian. An NYPD Detective who never wanted a relationship because of his position on the force. The long hours and gruesome scenes consume your life and he never believed he’d have anything left to give a woman when his priority was bringing the bad guy to justice. But then Matilda happens and he wants to give her everything.“I’ll never stop loving you Matilda. Never.”I LOVE Deborah Bladon! She always gives us a hero who is zero BS and is unashamedly consumed by his heroine. This was another beautiful sexy read!

Fairly well written with an only occasional error. The characters are interesting and likable except for a last minute addition who came across as a throw in to add a bit of suspense to the story, the only part that wasn't as well done. It was too quick and the reactions of the characters didn't really fit the possible malice. I liked the book however and will read more of her books.

This time Deborah outdid herself on the story with how the tow met and kept it going. They really weren’t made for each other and try and they did through out the story, they had more set backs, and family issues. Olivia has to live up to her fathers ideas, and finds out family secrets that almost break her. As this progresses, the story ends up with Alexander being her savior.

I just finished Catch and thought it was wonderful. Thought I would read another one of your books and chose this one. Wow. Such a good book. I had been reading so so books for while and this got me out of my slump. I have down loaded another of your books and plan to read Liam's story soon. I'm glad I'm open to finding new favorite authors. You made my list.

I was wowed by this book! I took a chance on it and it did not disappoint. There was depth to the story. You will fall in love with the characters and it had a good plot. A must read!!! You will love it!

Love these two characters and as always the supporting characters are great also.Deborah Bladon has done it again. Maybe it is just me…..but I always completely enjoy her books. Interesting from the beginning to the end with all the twists and turns and the HOT scenes are always a huge bonus!!!!

Another amazing book from Deborah with all her books they feature characters from previous novels and as soon as you read their names your instantly drawn into the story . This story is about Tilly who is the younger sister of Maya who we read about in a previous book Tilly or to give her her full name Matilda is an assistant at a vetinery practice who returns from seeing her twin sister Frannie in San Francisco to find a naked man in her flat . The man turns out to be Sebastian a homicide detective and freind of Maya’s and her fiancé Julian ,who after selling his flat needed somewhere to live . As Matilda’s flat mate had left for a while her sister Maya who owned the flat thought it would be a good idea to put the two of them together as she thought they’d be a perfect match ......... and how right she was .

as always Deborah's books are amazing not going to give anything away as its a book you have to read I could not put it down no housework was done and very little sleep until I finished it great work from Deborah

Would it be a bit much to ask for a follow up book i couldn't put the book down it was the best book I've read this year i loved it so much i would love to here more from tilly and Sebastian

Another great story from this author. Somehow she writes in a way that you feel the connection of the characters and i love how the characters from other stories for in threads of all her books.

Lovely gentle easy reading story about Matilda and Sebastian. Roommates who start off on the naked truth. Once they fall in love their lives are complete.
