SculpeyIII Polymer Clay Oven-Bake Clay Translucent 8 Ounce (Pack of 3)

I received 3 bricks of double wrapped fresh sculpey, and in case you’re wondering if it does the translucent earring thing, it does. Worked great it appears to be genuine sculpey, very little conditioning was required and it baked perfectly solid. I will be purchasing again.

It’s been super hard lately to find translucent sculpy at craft stores & I assumed buying it online I’d pay more- but I actually saved money buying from this seller! I know that people are often disappointed with translucent polymer clay bc they imagine it’s going to be transparent/clear but it’s definitely not. It’s more of a cloudy vaseline color once baked & loses its translucency the thicker the piece. If you’d like different colors of translucent clay I’ve found the best method is to brush on powdered pigments prior to baking- I use this method to give a lifelike glow & transparency to my sculpted butterflies & fairies!

Although tge photo looks like a beigy color. That is not the case. I love this classy, and have already used 1 out of the 3 bricks in the order.

This was my second purchase of a polymer clay but first purchase of this brand. This brand was a lot more workable than the first purchase. The color was even and the texture very workable. I look forward to learning more of how to work with this type of clay and will purchase this brand again as long as the price point makes it possible.

Easy to work with

I used this clay to add irredesent mica to it to create a stone effect. It worked amazingly well. This is the only place I will purchase my transulcent clay from.

The clay was soft and is translucent but not clear I usually just use as a clay conditioner or lightened just what I needed thx

Crumbled like sand. Could not make salvage it.
