Very stable and ergonomically correct.

I use this to cut open boxes and cut through plastic and tape, works great. It was a bit hard to protract and retract the knife, and I had to use both hands to move the lever when I first got it. Thankfully, after just a few hours I found it much easier to open and close the knife, being able to do it with just one hand and not much effort at all. I'm not sure if it's a muscle memory thing or having to "wear down" the knife in a sense. It's very nice to hold in my hand and it also looks quite nice.

The main point: the included blade is extremely sharp -- as in sharper than my kitchen knife. I can cut a sheet of paper in midair, cut styrofoam with no resistance at all, or the things it's meant to cut like product packaging and cardboard with ease. Some things to note though that prevent me from giving it a perfect 5 stars: - The knife does not already come ready to go, you have to open it up, remove the blade from the clip, and place the blade in the holder correctly - It's not designed to be used with the blade just a little open, unlike a lot of box cutters. If you have it semi-protracted, the blade can be pushed back in physically. It only locks when fully open. - The sliding mechanism is a little harder to use than traditional sliding mechanisms. I don't really see any benefits from this new mechanism.

Looked and looked for the perfect utility knife for my handyman business and after watching the video and reading the reviews I thought I had found it - NOT. Excited that I received it the next day and was ready to use it Removed the packaging and had a heck of a time getting it open to put the blade in, once opened I put the blade in and had a terrible time getting it to lock back together, after several attempts to open and close (hard every time) then the blade would not slide. Opened it again to make sure blade was installed correctly (which it was) still unable to slide. Piece of junk in my opinion, I thought Fiskars was supposed to be quality, but this is NOT. I have had cheaper knifes work way better for a cheaper price. After this experience I am almost afraid to buy any more lawn care products from Fiskars after my current ones need to be replaced. ***Fiskars, you may want to check your QC department on this line.***

I am morning merch at Costco in foods department. This box cutter holds up very well. It is still sharp even if the tip gets broken off, even cutting plastic straps on the pallets is easier without using so much force. I'm still on the first use after 2 weeks without switching the blades. Cutting thick boxes and slip-sheet is so much better without gripping it too tightly. The orange color helps when I set it down, and easy to spot. The grip is nice enough to stay sturdy in your pocket and not worry about it slipping off.

This is my favorite boxcutter that we own. It's ergonomic and has a non-slip rubber section of the handle. Safety first! Fiskar gets it right here. They have great quality products and terrific customer service. I've been using their products for years. Other boxcutters that we have are just metal and aren't as easy to work with as these. The ergonomics on this box cutter are terrific and the added safety from the sturdy, non-slip handle design is a sure sell for me. I love the orange pop of color as well. Excellent product!

Arrived on-time, but the structure of the housing is a drop malformed, in that it won't close accurately. That indicates a manufacturing defect. I might return it, and ask for a replacement, or a refund. Still thinking about it.
