CraftsOfEgypt Egyptian Mother of pearl & Paua Shell Inlaid Jewelry trinket decorative Box

I was so pleased to get this trinket box today! It's beautiful. That being said, as much as I love this box for myself, I can't give this item a higher rating, because the quality is not as high as I was expecting. One of the bits of shell in the very center of the design on the lid is chipped in half (but it's sealed underneath a clear coating, so someone must have seen along the way that there was an imperfection dead-center on the box, and just didn't care enough to fix it) and there are lots of large bubbles in this clear coating all over the sides of the box, too.So, while I think it's a beautiful box, and it will look nice enough in my bedroom, if I had bought this as a gift for someone else, I would be shipping it back because I would be embarrassed to give such shoddy craftsmanship as a gift to anyone.

There was some inlay that detracted from the piece. It looked like mother of pearle and the way the pieces were place created a weird look. Otherwise it is nice.

The picture shown here is not totally accurate. The design on the top of the box is not quite as nice -- less mother-of-pearl. That said, it is still a very nice-looking box, good craftsmanship, exactly what I'd expect for the price. It arrived very promptly.

Pretty from afar... Cheap looking up close!

I purchased this item for my wife, and she absolutely fell in love with it. The craftsmanship is great, and the inlay details are fantastic. I placed my order on close of business Thursday, and received it via UPS on Monday. I will definitely order again for birthdays and special occasions, it is a beautiful and unique gift.

not as described in the photo, they just sent whatever they had, completely different top part! I returned it and ordered another one. the one they sent was different from the photo, if you ran out of the box in the photo CHANGE the photo and don`t just send whatever you have!!!!
