Travel Poster Tin Metal Sign : Hawaii Land of Surf & Sunshine by Kerne Erickson, 13x16

I purchased this tin poster for my elderly mother's kitchen. We painted the old paneling and wallpaper a light yellow and needed something on the wall above the sink to brighten it. We redecorated with a tropical theme, and she liked the poster very much. The style is from the 1950s or thereabouts, so the people are wearing old-style swimsuits, not thongs and Speedos- something she appreciated. With the trellis in the forefront, it gives the impression of looking out onto the beach scene- very nice.The colors are pretty true to the photo here on Amazon. They are bright and clear, but are on the warm side. The scene is pleasant, and since I live in Hawaii and she has fond memories of visiting us, she liked that it pictured a scene from Waikiki. The metal is pretty sturdy, but it will bend easily if you do not keep it flat. It arrived in a box, well padded, without any bends. There are small holes in the corners, but I used  Command Picture Hanging Strips, 4-Small, 8-Medium  to hang it- one in each upper corner.The size is 13x16" so it is not a tiny poster. We used it in the kitchen above the sink, as I said, but it would look very nice just about anywhere in the house and will complement a casual, beach, or tropical theme. The price ($8.99) is a bargain, and if you want to change it out later, which I plan to do to give the kitchen some variety, you are not out a lot of money.I was pleased with this and would recommend it.

Bought this large travel poster tin sign to go with collection. It arrived in a much larger box "without" any hard board backing or packing material-which did not help to protect this tin sign from being a little bent in the middle. These need to be put between some kind of backing or cardboard for protection from any damage. A beautiful tin sign but arrived "bent" & I'm trying to straighten it out a bit before tacking on wall.

I love it. But then I love most everything Hawaiian. It will be hanging on my wall for a long time. Good quality product too.

Larger than most tin signs I've bought and this one has gorgeous, vivid colors. The image is clear and seems to be of excellent quality - for an EXCELLENT price. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat. Love it.

Bought some of these to put on doors to identify some conference rooms at work. These are perfect and hang perfectly using the no-nailing sticky-type hangers. The tin picture is light enough to put up with those.

Size is about right. Attractive picture with nice colors.

I like the colors and retro design, looks cute on the wall. Was also easy to mount to the wall using command adhesives.
