Loved it.

Great follow up to « You Are Not My Son. » The book arrived yesterday and I started reading it in the evening and finished it this evening after work. Looking forward to reading « Best Friends Forever. » which arrived yesterday also.In this episode in the affair between Alex and Liam, there is a lot of suspense. Would like to have learned what happened to the kids who pushed Shawn down the stairs at school. Perhaps part 5 will bring that to light.Both Alex and Liam are characters that we can identify with and root for an enduring relationship. The other characters are drawn in flesh and blood. And Sam makes the most evil of villains.This episode can be read without having read the previous ones. It is a complete story.Enjoy!

It’s been a while since I read books 1-3 and had to reconnect with the characters. Jay did a good job refreshing my memories as I read the book. The ending snuck upon me. I expected a little more concern by others after the big incident. I still managed a few feels and so on to book 5. 3.75 for great friends.

Gay youth novels are a rarity so I'm appreciative of the series. I normally give 4 or 5 because of that. So my 4 was based on the novel's story line of sick bastards (trying to) get their revenge. When I put book down in between reads - I could feel the anxiety of the plot. That's kinda why I went with the 4. Loved the way real life intimacy is sprinkled here and there without going overboard. Looking forward to more from Jay in this series.

I am not sure whether to call this a book or a short story. It holds its place in this series and is, to me, well written, but it is too short as well. It seemed to lack a certain development or insight into some of the characters. Some aspects seemed too simplistic, I suppose. Be that as it may, if you enjoy this series, this is one to read.

What I loved about this installment was that it continued the story of the love and courage between Alex and Liam... But the death of their friend Tyler was very upsetting and not expected... Tyler should've survived and had a happy ending with his friends... And maybe the start of a romance with Scott... Well, at least Rick and Sam are paying the price for their crimes...

I loved the story this book told. It was heartbreaking at the end and did not expect that! I can't wait for the next novel in the series to come out! I've been following the story since the first book and just can't get enough. I gave it a 5 star rating because this is one series I can't seem to put down or get enough of and it always leaves me anticipating for more!

I can’t explain how much I have enjoyed this series. It has made me smile and it has made me cry. This is hands down my favorite book and series of all time. Thank you to the author for writing something so amazing. It really touched my heart in ways I can’t explain. As a 20 year old gay man it really hits home with how real this story was. Must read!

A great story with meany twists all through it, and a true love story through out. I loved it from being to end. And I’m thinking you will too, so give it a read, I’m glad I did.

I messed up and read book five first but it did not spoil the story. Clearly our love birds will not get killed so it has to be one of the group. Story is engaging although the scene set of getting out of jail in time to look for revenge is a bit flimsy. All in all a decent read.

It's now turning more in a series of (unbelievable and unlikely) situations.Nice and easy read but story is getting to stretched out.

The whole 4 book series is a good read

Fantastic 4th book in the series. Couldn't stop reading and read the whole book in 1 go! Thanks Jay for another great book.
