Update. They took a bit to get used to but have come to like them very much. The wife loves them.Took most of a day to install. They are "generic" in that they will fit many different vehicles and an advantage and disadvantage is they use magnetic door presence detectors to decide when to retract and deploy the steps.When I read the directions I was at first aghast because they were pretty vague. But once I got under the truck and looked for the mounting points it was obvious how to proceed. It was a bit tedious but straightforward.The wiring loom is somewhat intimidating at first but once I found the instructions for the electrical and broke it down into its basic steps it went well. Again, just a lot of steps. I chose to not use the LEDs on the steps which saved time and energy.Once they were installed, they of course would not cycle. I played with the magnets until we got one side to work which taught me the orientation of the magnet to the switch. The magnets are "sided' If you flip them "upside down" you get a different magnetic zone so playing with the magnets can be a bit of a chore. If I have alignment issues in the future I will install my linear niobium magnets. They are two inches long and should provide a wider alignment zone.Over all they work well and so far are fine.

These are fantastic for the older generation who have knee pain. Much easier in and out of those big trucks because of the 2 steps it provides. I bought these with that in mind. First step lower to ground, provides top step just below door for a more comfortable entry. Works just as well for rear passengers in the crew cab! Probably wouldn't be good for off roading, but for normal truck duty works well.

Although no one sells power running boards for 2020 Ram 4500 I decided to take a chance and order these that are for the 3500. These running boards fit perfectly even with the def tank. It was easy to install them, worth every penny since the cabin chassis ram 4500 is high off the ground.

The media could not be loaded.  Very disappointed. i want to like these, but they simply don't work. Note: i have contacted the seller, and will update this review based on their response. The double step concept, and the weight capacity are what sold me on these, but the problems abound:1) The wiring harness is generic, and would not install in my 2014 RAM 1500 Big Horn according to the included instructions, nor the online video guides.2) Right out of the box, the controller module had obvious signs of having been installed previously, and returned (see pics).3) The driver's side board was DOA - a non-functional drive motor, according to the troubleshooting guide.4) The control module appears to be damaged, based on the troubleshooting guide (see video).The installation of the steps themselves wasn't complex. The terribly designed wiring harness made the wiring process far more complex than it ever should have been - and that would be true for any vehicle, not just mine. i was genuinely tempted to disassemble the whole thing and do it correctly, but figured that would void my warranty.As i wait for the sellers response, i must still advise people to avoid this product and seller, based on the facts:1) That the seller sent a used product, rather than new.2) The wiring harness is poorly designed.3) Not one, but two defective components were shipped to me, indicating a lack of quality control.

These are the best steps that they make for the Ram 3500. I looked into the other ones that were available. The first thing that I noticed was the distance that they came down. Mounted they are approximately 6" below the lower door panel. when they are extended they add an additional 10 inches for a total of 16" below the bottom of the door panel. They work perfect so far. Had them professionally installed. Would purchase again if I ever need them

Getting experienced installer will save you a big headache. Installed on a 2017 Dodge Ram. Lots of work to wire up but well worth it. (After contacts and magnets are aligned, take time to mark around each with a marker just incase they get bumped and moved. Had a contact get moved once).

The fact that you actually get 2 steps into the cab unlike other extending running boards. Did have one side fail within the 1st week. ARIES responded through the seller (Trend Auto) Monday morning. I received a replacement Saturday of that week.

These steps help my wife to easily get into our truck and to get out. Should have done this long ago.

We have had them installed for over 6 months now. They make getting in and out of the truck much easier. Love them.

It wotks great. My truck is higher than most and this steps makes it easire for my family getging and out of the truck.
