Best Set of 4 Silicone Suction Lids - Food Covers For All Bowls, Pots, Pans, Cups & More - Eco-Green

I've been using a plastic splatter lid to cover my bowls and plates when using the microwave, but recently found that it seemed to be growing something gross despite repeated washes with soap and hot water and regular turns in the dishwasher. Since plastic utensils and products tend to get weird oily and other icky buildups easily and are a pain to clean as a result, I decided to order a silicone-based cover/lid instead. I use silicone-based baking products already and they are much better than plastic-based kitchen products. I don't know if silicone is less prone to microbial buildup, but I know they're easier to clean. Plus, I figured they'd handle more frequent washing and scrubbing.After comparing different options and prices, I ordered these Uberlids recently. And I love them dearly! The lids have a very sturdy feel, and this set comes in a good variety of sizes to fit all over mugs as well as small and large bowls. These lids won't work on plates, because the lids are completely flat and very thin. They create a strong seal on whatever they're placed on, though I wouldn't advise dangling them by the silicone seal because you may end up with a mess on your floor! I hope the manufacturer considers designing the product in different colors. I like the green color but would love to see it in purple, blue, red, etc. to color coordinate with different bowls and mugs. I highly recommend this set, as other manufacturers are selling 1 or 2 silicone lids rather than the complete set that Uberlids offers.Update: The only thing I don't like is that these lids are apparently not made in the US. That's too bad, as I like to buy US-made and avoid Chinese products (which is really hard to do). I had gotten some BBQ gloves from Uberlids before, and I could have sworn they were made in the US. Oh well, these lids are still great and they hold up well! I hope Uberlids considers making them in the US in the future.

These puzzle me. i wanted them to cover food for microwave especially. You csnt just set them on top of food in a plate...well you can but theyre right on top of food like a paper towel. The food gets all over them . Also i dont see how they stretch over a dish or pan. Theres not much to go on for directions.

Sometimes it sticks and sometimes it doesn't. Wouldn't buy it again.

Now that I have these lids, when cooking, I'm able to cover frying pans that had no lid. These are heat safe, clean up quickly and store easily. Oh, and I used the smallest lid to take a hot dish from the microwave. I also used the smallest lid to loose a jar lid, great gripping power.I have numerous T...ware bowls for storage as well as disposal storage containers, I don't need to search for the correct lid anymore I just grap one of my suction lids and, wah lah! it's covered. One thing I would like to see is a larger handle grip, some thing that stands a bit higher from lid, other than that, no complaints!

Haven't found as many uses as I thought I would. Hard to find a place to store them.Will probably end up in a garage sale or Sally Anne.

LOVE these! I am always looking for smart, quality, space saving items. These cover my glass bowls, pans and silver bowls and have great suction. Covered a salad last night and it's still crisp and fresh today. Now I don't need Tupperware and Saran wrap. The lids are thin enough and have loops at the top so I am able to hang them from a small hook in my cabinet. The company that makes them emailed me to make sure I got them, love them and have all the answers to any questions I might have. Try them...you'll love them

Didn't work as well as expected but better than cling wrap. (If they get bumped they fall into the bowl)
