Great solution for hall closets
We have several closets in a hallway that is well lit, but the lights are recessed and 14 feet up. Seeing anything in the closets, even with the hall lights on, can be a challenge.I've tried several types of stick-on lights but they aren't usually bright enough, they don't have a wide enough beam to show much, they look silly, the batteries run out, and there's nowhere good to mount them. These lights are almost perfect. I have them mounted to the top of the doorframe just inside the door (on the thicker part the door fits up against). I thought they would stick out awkwardly there but it doesn't bother me and it allows more light to reach under shelves. I wiped the area with alcohol and stuck the magnetic strip to it. After charging the light, I stuck it to the strip and it has stayed strong and steady for a few months. The motion detection turns them on when the door is opened, keeps them on while someone is standing g there, and turns the lights off a few seconds after closing the door. I have used one closet in particular a lot and the battery is still going without a recharge, but it won't be a problem when I need to do it.The one problem I have is what other reviewers mentioned: if I open the door but the light doesn't think it's dark enough to be needed, it might not turn on. We seem to have different opinions on how much light is needed in a dark coat closet. But, as others have also mentioned, a little electrical tape over the light sensor (the small circle next to the large white dome), and the light bar always thinks it is pitch black and therefore always agrees that I need some light.I bought one, tried it out, loved it, and bought two more. This is easily my wife's favorite "home improvement" project I've done. It cost far less time and money than pretty much any other project. I'm not sure what that says about me, but I'll be happy about my wife being happy any day.

Excellent value, bright light, convenient mounting
Perfect for illuminating closets, dark nooks, etc. anywhere you need more light. Ordered this and it’s been the best solution for our closet that didn’t have a light fixture. Here’s what I love about it:* Rechargable - no batteries to purchase, just recharge when it gets dim. Very long-lasting battery depending on how frequently it’s used.* Brightness - very bright! Illuminated a large dark closet with plenty of light.* Installation - you can mount it with wall screws if you need a more permanent sturdy option, but the stick-on magnetic strip works great and makes it easy when you need to remove it to recharge. Just snaps in and out of the holder and the magnet is strong enough to withstand the occasional bump.* Sensor - the automatic motion sensor works very well and has a wide field of “view.”This is not a con, but be aware the motions sensor works best in a dark place with no motion. For example a closed dark closet is perfect, the door opens and the light pops on right away. But note that if it’s an already somewhat lit area and it detects people waking by regularly, such as a hallway, it may have some trouble. For example If you test it in a lot room, the motion sensor doesn’t really work. Best for use in an enclosed dark space.Overall this light has been exactly what I was looking for.

Good light
Bought this for my bike shed and a day later was hit with a rain storm. The shed collapsed and the only thing that survived was this light. Still works to this day

Very nice color light in a closet.
I put two of these above the sliding doors in a shallow 12' long closet for my wife. I did try a couple less expensive brand which gave off great light however the color of those washed out the color of the clothing inside the closet making it difficult to tell the difference between some colors. As soon as I put these two up what a difference. Very natural lighting makes it easy to see colors as you would expect to. Easy to install and seems that they will hold a charge for a respectable amount of time. I install them about two months ago after giving them a full charge and they are still as bright as the first day. She opens her closet probably three times a day for a min or two. The motion sensors work well and do auto shut off after about 20 seconds, if you need more time you just raise your hand. I blocked off the light sensor which would prevent them from turning on if the room had enough light from external sources only because I didn't thinks battery life would be an issue and didn't need the wife to complain bout it. Just used a small piece of black tape to cover the light sensor. Overall I'm very happy (probably because the wife is happy) I honestly don't know why I waited so long to do such a simple upgrade that makes such a big difference.

Didn't work after the first time (Motion Detector)
At first, which is NEVER when I write a review, the darn thing motion detected ONE TIME and not again. I fully charged it before I installed it. Tested before I installed it. Installed it and the motion detector worked once. I thought, "You know? I should take that light out and stomp up and down on it until it's sand, I'm so mad." Then, I stepped back. I calmed down. I said to myself, "You know? Even if the motion detector is total crap, I'm going to keep it because it was a great value for just the rechargeable, easy to install light. The motion part was a bonus!". The next day, I opened my liquor cabinet and BAM! The light came on. It stayed on for twenty seconds and went off. I did it again. It came on! I waited a few hours and did it again. By this time I was pretty drunk but, the light works! Without failure. So "maybe" (I doubt it) it just needed to sit in the dark for a while. But, it was a great price and it works.

Strong and beautiful but erratic
This device delivers light powerfully. And holds a great charge for a long time. It is very well made and looks amazing though the sensor only seems to work on complete darkness.I have installed this light in an area under a shop shelf that basically stays dark I wanted a motion sensor to light up that area so that when I reach for a product it would pop on the light to assist. That only works when the shop is blacked out. If there are any other room lights on it does not trip and I must hit the button to activate the light. Not a deal breaker enough to send it back for me because I now have a light but it is basic. Not superb for me.
