Works well when using router by hand.
Connects to my Craftsman wet/dry vac with included adaptor. catches majority of router dust except for very find material.. The only problem I had is that with the hood in place, I had to be very careful to keep the hood edges away from the work piece - the hood could hold the router away from the work and make me under cut. When I'm careful with the hood, it works great.

Dust collector for the table saw
I needed to cut down on the wood dust and shavings from my portable table saw. I found a video of a guy doing something similar. With a few modifications i have a workable solution.

Router edge dust collection
This is for dust collection on edge operations. It does work well but it’s a bit of a hassle to install. I wish they had incorporated a better mounting system as sometimes it just doesn’t feel worth the hassle to install and remove it.

Meh, works OK, when you can use it.
goes together okay once you get all the adapters worked out to a shop vac. Lots of leverage on the hose so the fittings fall out unless you glue them together. Works great for going down a straight surface, but the guards interfere with curved surfaces or scrap from curved surface.Probably the best option out there, but not sure its a viable option in most cases.

No more saw dust!
The Bosch edge forming dust extractor is s life saver. Previously all of my edge routing produced a lot of saw dust on the floor. Now I can rout an edge and suck up all or most of the saw dust.

NOT Compatible As Advertised
After considerable time online with Bosch service, I was finally informed that this product is NOT compatible with the RA1166 base as advertised. Great customer service rep, but not assurance that anything will be done to correct the listing even thought they acknowledge that it is incorrect.
