I originally purchased this for reducing bad cholesterol. But after taking for just 3 weeks I started to notice a big change in my anxiety/depression I had been suffering from for over 2 years! Did some research & learned that if you’re lacking Vit E it can cause issues like that & is even used to treat some mental health disorders in some cases. I have been able to have motivation to do things I haven’t been able to do for so long! Now I truly understand how a slight chemical imbalance in your body can affect your well being! Do some research on this form of Vit E. It has to be this FORM TOCOTRIENOLS for your body to assimilate the best.

The description next to the bottle is incorrect; it is not derived from palm oil. This product is extracted from annatto oil by American River Nutrition located at 333 Venture Way, Hadley MA 01035. American River has a very good website with a very informative FAQ. They make the gel caps. It is marketed by Cardiovascular Research Ltd. in California. DeltaGold typically contains 90% delta-tocotrienol and 10% gamma-tocotrienol. Other oils contain both tocotrienols and tocopherols, making industrial extraction and separation impracticable. Its nice to know that the pure product is made right here in the USA and has high standards. Who knows what gunk some pollution shrouded factory in China is oozing into their Chinese-made softgel caps.

I never used to count pills. But I've been reading a lot of reviews where people (on several products) found that the product was short. This bottle only contained 58. Instead of 60. It's only 2 pills, but if I'm shorted every time, it would add up. Otherwise the product seems to be OK. But, I just started taking it (one softgel every day with dinner). Tocotrienols aren't absorbed well if taken with tocopherols (which are in most multivitamins). So tocotrienols should be taken at least 6 hours after your multivitamin (if taking) and should be taken with a meal that contains fat since they are fat soluble.

Vitamin E is composed of eight compounds: alpha, beta, gamma, and delta tocopherols, and alpha, beta, gamma, and delta unsaturated tocotrienols. Tocotrienols are found in red palm oil, annatto seeds, and rice bran. The health benefits of tocotrienols are in prevention of cancer and lowering of cholesterol. They possess antioxidant, neuroprotective, cholesterol-lowering, anti-inflammatory activities. The significant property of Tocotrienols is their anti-cancer activity which is well documented. They are combined with chemotherapeutic agents. The commonly available vitamin E contains tocopherols which should not be mixed with tocotrienols as they counteract each other. Tocotrienols represent a much better form of vitamin E. The Palm derived form contains tocopherols in addition to tocotrienols. The Annato bean derived tocotrienols are the pure form.
