First review: Not sure if we got a bad one or not, but I gave this to my 14 year old for her locker. She can unlock it with her beauty blender (makeup sponge).Revision: I had her bring it to me. The instructions are tricky so when she thought she’d programmed it, it actually hadn’t registered her finger at all. Now with a couple fingerprints successfully recorded, it works as expected. 4 stars because it should be easier than it was.Follow these instructions:1. Hold the fingerprint reader for 3 seconds until it lights up blue and immediately lift your finger (do not completely cover the edges or you can’t see it illuminate)2. Briefly touch the reader once more to turn it green- If this is not the first print, this step must be done with one already programmed- If you do a “long” touch here at step 2, the led will illuminate RED and the next touch will DELETE that fingerprint - if this is not what you want to do, wait 5 seconds for it to extinguish and start over at step 13. Once green, register your print by briefly placing the finger to be programmed back on the reader 10 times - be sure to move it around like when programming an iPhone 5-8 or it could be difficult to find the “sweet” spot needed to unlock it in the future- It will blink blue for each successful touch or red for a failed touch4. When it turns green each time you briefly touch the reader, you hear a mechanical noise, and/or the lock pops open, it is working as expectedIf you are red/green colorblind, you will need a partner to assist.

The media could not be loaded.  Just received this padlock and I am already in love with it! Super easy to set up your fingerprint access - only takes a moment to do so.Item is very compact and comes with a USB cord to charge it in between uses. I like that the locking cord is flexible rather that a metal horseshoe shape. After fingerprint is set up, it will flash red if the incorrect print is used on the screen and flash green if the correct one is used - then it unlocks so you can pull the cord out.Locking is simple to understand - once you place the cord back into the unit, it will flash & beep at you to let you that it successfully locked.Fast ship and great seller. Any issues I’ve had with other item purchases have always been quickly addressed. I will continue to shop with YeeSite for their variety of products & attentive customer service!

I used this lock for a couple of weeks at the athletic club and it worked for a few weeks. It usually took several attempts to get it to unlock but it always unlocked. Then, one day I tried for 15 minutes to get it to work and it would not unlock. I thought I would need to have the athletic club cut it off with bolt cutters. However, A simple twist and I was able to break the cable and get the locker open. I love the concept but I don't think I trust the fingerprint technology to always work nor is the lock very strong. I would not recommend this product yet until they improve the reliability of fingerprint identification.

So it works most of the time but i but it on a tool chest. I work around a lot of water and dust. It would work fine at first but then refused to accept my fingerprint after a few hours at work i programmed all 10 fingers and could rarely get it to open after being at work for a few hours.

I wanted to wait and try and use the lock before I reviewed it. Well after trying to use it several times I can't get it to operate. Everytime I use my thumb print it gives me the red light. I am sure glad I choose not to use it at the gym until I used it awhile. I would find a more reliable lock or you may be asking someone to bring bolt cutters at the gym or wherever you use it. I would not buy again and I don't usual li y leave negative feed back.

I bought this lock for my gym locker at the YMCA. It is a great lock! It is easy to set up and use.I was only disappointed because I thought water proof would be a good thing, not that I would ever use it IN the water but after working out in the pool it wouldn’t matter if my fingers were wet after my shower. However, because of the “pruning” your fingers do when immersed in water during a workout, it seems the lock was unable to read my fingerprint. Hmmmmm.... I dried my fingers, blew on them to no avail. I had to wait 10 minutes in a soaking bathing suit and towel while my finger (or thumb in this case) “unpruned”I am not sure why it would be a waterproof lock, is there some reason you would use it IN the water. Too expensive for this disappointment. 🙁

I keep it in my bag wherever I go. It is small enough and light enough to where I don't notice it in my backpack. Works the majority of the time. Sometimes it may misread but it'll get it the next time. I have had it for half a year and have only charged it once.

I use this at the gym. Easy and intuitive. I’ve only ever had on issue with it not reading one fingerprint... but I programmed in 5 for just such an event. Overall I like it because I no longer have to carry a lock key at the gym.
