The Everflow Supplies 'A' sized arrestor straight water hammer arrestor with an 1/2 inch threaded male NPT connection for residential applications. It is used is to eliminate water hammer, which is caused by water running through fast closing valves, from the piping system. It can damage the seams and couplings, which might result in leaks. The design is lead free and is approved by NSF. I had to reheat to repostion and it popped out of the fitting. The piston inside is no where to be found. All that was left was 2 O-rings on my bench. It blew out of the fitting about a foot in the air.
