Comparison of two suppliers
I used to buy these Dentek slim brushes at Wal-Mart, but lately have been unable to find them anywhere in town. In desperation, I turned to Amazon. For some tight spaces, I have sought the thinnest brushes possible, but I have been confused by the Dentek descriptions (tapered, slim, ultra thin, tight, extra tight, 2.0-3.0 mm, etc.) and handle colors (green, yellow, purple). So I bought two packages of 32 for evaluation and for comparison. Along with other items that I had ordered from Amazon, I received one package from Kivox for $6.25. As in the Amazon picture, the handles were purple and they were described as “extra tight”. They were made in India. The other package was sent separately from TeethNThings, and cost $6.89. The Amazon picture showed green handles, but the packing slip declared yellow, while in reality they were purple, and exactly like the ones from Kivox. The few older ones I had remaining from Wal-Mart had yellow handles and were made in Viet Nam. I looked at the yellow and purple ones with a stereomicroscope, and observed the following: The metal wire is a twisted loop with no exposed ends that would be sharp or come apart; the wire diameter is the same for yellow and purple. The plastic bristles held in place by the twisted, double-helical wire all have the same diameter. The only obvious difference was that the purple wire had 13 complete twists while the yellow wire had 18 complete twists. This probably has little effect on function. The purple handle was slightly stiffer than the yellow handle, again probably without consequence. I had no green ones for comparison. Maybe they’re all essentially the same, despite the differences in descriptions and colors. Too bad Dentek has made it confusing. Since they’re so thin, they need to be used carefully and gently to avoid bending and inadvertent gum-piercing, but they sure are nice for those tight spaces.

They Work Better.
This product is MUCH less expensive than products from your local pharmacy, and they do the job. I have some spots in my gums that tend to swell, and these prevent that from happening.

Good for people who dislike basic string floss.
Some find these easier to use than string type floss.

Great cleaning power
These work really well to clean between my teeth

Stabbing hazard
Overall, they work well. I dislike the brushes do not go all the way to the top end to completely cover the wire. While the wire isn't sharp enough to poke a hole in healthy gums, it is an uncomfortable feeling if you manage to hit your gums or tooth with the wire.

Order these before you get your braces
Just got my braces about a week ago and I am so happy I bought these brush cleaners for my braces. They get hard to reach places and they fit between some small gaps that I have betweeen some brackets. I like the fact that they are bendable. Not sure what I would do without them. It does make life easier. I carry them in my purse and have them all around the house. Great product and will be buying these for the next 2 years lol!

Costco would be a cheaper and better option.
A little delicate to use if your teeth are close together and hard to reach back molars. Costco would be a cheaper and better option.
