Hot Swap 3.5" or 2.5" Drive Tray for NORCO RPC-4224, RPC-4220, RPC-4020, RPC-4216, RPC-4116, RPC-3216, RPC-3116, RPC-2212, RPC-2106, RPC-2208, RPC-2008, RPC-1204.

These are basic drive trays, intended for use with certain Norco bay mechanisms. They have light pipes for the power/presence and activity lights, a latch to keep them in place, and will keep the drive aligned properly when inserting to the corresponding bays. A nice feature is they have mounting holes for both 2.5 inch wide (any normally available thickness) and 3.5 inch wide (maximum one inch thick) drives.As for the missing star (only 4 of 5), the trays do not come with screws (not easy to find compatible screws) and feel a little flimsy (it is easy to over-tighten the screws and damage the mount point in the tray, for example). So far the only damage I have seen in my use of these is from shipping and from over-tightening the mounting screws, so I use a jeweler's screwdriver when mounting the drives to keep me from doing that so easily.Normal handling care for a drive should not pose difficulty for normal use, once you have a drive mounted in the tray.I wish some other manufacturers of hot-swap bays would make it this easy to find additional or replacement trays!

I'm writing this review for both purchasers and IPC Direct.I ordered 6 of these and they were put into a bubble mailer, unprotected from scratching to each other and damage from package handling.Two of the trays had one or both sides bent down.I have found no other supplier than IPC Direct.The trays themselves work fine (5 Stars). I have used them for over 5 years with many, many swap outs. I ordered the spare trays to have spare drives already mounted in the tray for rapid swap-out.
