Beware of Dog Sign 9 x 12 Inch - 4 Pack

This isn't the first time I've made this purchase. Only 1 out of 4 made it a whole year. I put 3 on the entrances to my backyard and one on the front door. The 3 outside eventually became brittle and broken while the 4th eventually faded. I was going to use a permanent marker to trace and color in the faded parts, but the permanent marker is old and ran out quickly. I decided to buy these again. Listen people - these are cheap, not on metal, and are flimsy. If you plan to put them outside, they will not last more than a few months. If you put them inside at each of your entrances, they will last a bit longer. Overall, these are a good price for what they are. Don't expect them to last as long as the metal signs.

Overall I do like these - at least for now (I have reservations based on long term visibility/durability, bit for NOW it will work fine). I do wish there was a hole punched on the corners to secure it. I cut out holes myself, but having them punched in would be easier to hang them on chain link fencing.They are effective at making people be cautious. I have 2 (very friendly) dogs but live near a sometimes questionable area- so the signs act as a good deterrent and the contractors, workers, delivery men, and other random visitors always ask 'if its safe' - which is EXACTLY what I want.I have the signs on the front porch, and then 3 gates leading to the back yard.3 stars based on anticipated durability and lack of prepunched holes and very thin material.

These are great signs if you know how to use them... do not use zip ties as with the weather they will rip off... use the extreme outdoor Velcro (you can buy it on amazon for $4) and cut the Velcro into 1 inch squares put four on back of sign in each corner... I have stucco walls outside and they have held for the last year with no problems.. I'm ordering another set because we installed a new garage door and the installer broke one with his ladder... I would suggest replacing them once a year as they fade a little.. but with the Velcro they withstand heavy winds and have stayed put here in Arizona with no issues. Monsoon rain. Snow. Extreme heat. Great signs... with the cost you can get four signs and the Velcro for ten bucks and that's a great deal. Hope my review helps.

The sign is nice but really only can be used indoors I bought a package of four and the sun bleached them white within two months. You can’t even read what it used to say.

I like the graphics on this sign and the excellent price. I stapled them along my wooden fence to warn potential intruders of my vicious australian cattle dog.They are a thin plastic material that attach well with staples to a wooden fence, but probably would be difficult to attach to chain link.The big downside is that the red graphics fade in the sun to a light pink color. I had to replace them after about a year.In summary, they are nice looking signs that attach easily to a wooden fence, but expect that you'll have to replace them after a year if exposed to sunlight.

Not sure what there is to "love" about a sign, so 4 stars. I put one on each side of my long driveway, on a tree. They fade after a year or 2, so I put new ones over them. BTW, my German Shepherd looks a lot like this guy, when he's on warning duty.

I live in a duplex with a covered carport. My neighbor on the other side of the common wall also has a covered carport. Within 17 minutes, using the proper tools and 8 wood screws, 2 signs were secured to each side of the duplex for solicitors to take notice, and hopefully the solicitors will do an about-face and leave us alone. Since the signs will never be in direct sunlight, maybe they'll last a lot longer than other reviews have mentioned.

Honestly I bought these because I like the dog image. I read the other customer reviews before I bought them and the negative comments were correct which I expected they would be. All I really have to say is MADE IN CHINA and that should sum it up. But to be thorough the signs aren't going to hold up for outdoor use so if that's what you are looking for don't buy these. However, if you are looking to just put them in your window they should be adequate. The construction is cheap and the signs are flimsy. I can tell the graphic will fade easily outside and wont hold up to the elements. Once again for indoor use only!

Great value. Signs are quality plastic and flexible.Updated 09/23/2017: While the signs are made of good plastic, the design does fade in the sun, and even moreso if outdoors. After 1 year the one we had outside (facing sun for most of the day) is now completely blank. A second one is pretty close to blank that was in a window (inside, but sun facing). The other two are still good but do not get direct sun exposure. All things considered, a more expensive metal sign might be better and less prone to fading.

Very thin, if setting in a window, will work great. If you want to put holes and attach to a fence, not that great.
