When buying any pair of gloves, mittens, or convertible glove/mittens (smoker's gloves / hobo gloves / glittens(?)) online what you want to know more than anything else is, "How warm are they?"These gloves are pretty warm. i was hoping for really warm, but they aren't, however for a highly functional pair of pretty warm mitteves they perform great. I live in Northern Colorado and bike to work almost every day (15 miles round trip), and was hoping to replace my over-sized, but oh so warm, ski mittens with a more svelte and finger accessible pair of glottens. These are great for the Spring and Fall when it's 50 to 35 degrees, but any lower than that and the ski gloves have to come back out, lest I arrive at work unable to type due to numb fingers.

I really thought these would be perfect for me, but they're not. They're a pain to get off, and I end up scratching myself with the exposed velcro on the back of the hand when the mitten part is on my fingers. They're also kind of bulky -- and all I was trying to do with them was drive.They're warm enough and a good idea, but I ended up going for some light shooting gloves (I don't shoot) for driving and I'm a lot happier with them. Maybe they're good for other people; they're just not for me.

I haven't gone out in extremely cold weather yet, but so far these gloves are working well. They have a bit of a neoprene fabric around the fingers and really fit snug. I was out on the trail this weekend and actually had to pull back the mitten part as they were too warm (it was mid 50's at the time)

I gave this as a present to a friend after buying my own, I live in a cold state and this gloves keep my hands warm... I have not used them yet in the middle of the harsh winter... but so far... my fingers stay warm when the cold wind blows. I love the fact that the thumb is removable, I like to be able to feel and control the camera and most mittens keep the thumb covered. With this gloves you can uncover just the thumb and keep the rest of your hand covered and warm. Great invention.

Size runs a little small, but I found they stretched to the perfect size after repeated wearing. There is the thumb thing everyone is talking about, I'm still deciding whether to stitch it on or loose it all together. Warm enough for the Wisconsin winter.

These were a gift for my son for Christmas and he was extremely pleased! He said that most of this type of glove/mitten item are bulky and cumbersome. He was impressed with the quality and the fact that these would easily fit into his pockets. He also said that he was really happy that they were not the knitted type as those got so wet so easily. I would definitely purchase these again.

I am a letter carrier and these gloves work great. I can keep both of my index fingers out to help flip through the mail and tuck them in when not needed. I also like the thumbs being able to flip back. I need to be able to wear a rubber thumb cover and this allows me to do that. I find that my hands start sweating in temperatures above freezing.

I ordered these for my brother. He works in construction. He really likes them. They're really not durable enough for this kind of use, but they made it through the winter. There is some wear and tear, but he'll be able to use them again next winter.
