It was an awesome Halloween.
I'm 5'6", 135 pounds, and my hips have a circumference of 36 inches. I picked small mostly because my upper body is rather petite. This was risky move for my lower body. A small size doesn't often accommodate my hips. It fit tight, but tight was what I was going for. The bottoms are basically booty shorts, so prepare for exposure. Yes, the gloves are small, but you can stretch them. Everything is pretty stretchable. I do recommend fashion tape or something for the thigh highs because they have a tendency to droop down your leg. If you have wedged sneakers, they will look amazing with the tights strapped over it.

Don't Waste Your Money
The original price for this item is $54.99 apparently, which I find incredible. I paid $37.44 for it and I feel really let down. After reading all the reviews on here for this item I thought I knew what I was getting into, but I was still surprised by the inferior quality and sewing of this costume. I posted a bunch of pictures for those who might read this in case you are willing to take the risk. [UPDATE: My pictures were removed for some reason. Probably by the seller of this product. Guess you'll have to trust me.] First, the fit is smaller than the product description might have you believe. I normally wear a size 8 in pants and dresses, so I chose the medium since it says it will fit a size 6-10. There is no way anyone who can wear a size 10 can get into this costume. If you are ordering this, go by the smallest number in the product description just to be safe. If its too big you can always take it in! Better to need something taken in than let out, since this doesn't have a spare inch of fabric for letting out, plus the sewing is so bad it might not work anyway. The sewing is awful. The elastic Xs on the shorts and top are uneven, so it looks weird on. The finger holes on the gloves are shaped oddly, and the lines don't match up. The fishnet on my boots has a hole in it where its attached to the black trim on the top. I'm going to need a lot of safety pins when I actually wear it. The paint is already cracking and I only tried on the costume for 5 mins. As I was pulling it on I could hear it popping. I thought seams were ripping! When I looked I the seams were fine but the paint was all cracked. As other reviewers mentioned, this costume is nothing like the picture. Not only is it not like the picture on the product description, but it's also nothing like the picture on the package you receive. (They are extremely different from each other in several ways). There are no bracelets or anklets with this one (you get shorts, a top, shoe covers, arm bands, and fingerless gloves) and the "gold" is more of a bright copper. The color is definitely pink, not purple. The mask has black fangs on it and is made like a nurses mask. It does not attach to the top. The top does not fit anything like in the picture. The top is longer and more open in front, exposing a lot more skin. The boobs just kinda hang there, since the top isn't tight enough to squeeze them together like the picture. The part under the breasts should be tighter in order to achieve this. I'd like to wear a bra with it but I'm not sure how I'm going to make that work, since the top is so open that a bra would probably look odd... The black bands which are supposed to connect to the shorts are actually skinny little strings. The shoe covers are actually really short. I'm a short person (only 5'3) and the medallions on the model's knees only come to my mid-calf area. Of course I'm pretty scared to stretch them since the paint is cracking so that might be it. The fishnet doesn't stay up on its own, so I'll need to purchase a garter to go with this. The gloves are all pink except for the painted lines on it, in the picture on the product description the gloves are pink and black. I really, really don't like this costume and I hate how I look in it. I would return in it a heartbeat if I could, but I promised a friend I'd be Mileena (she bought the Kitana costume) for a con we are going to. In order to not let her down, I'm going to try to save this costume. For those who don't have a friendship on the line, skip this unless you can pay less than $20 for it and have the time, energy, and money to alter it as needed and give it some accessories to jazz it up. It has some potential if I add some things to it but it isn't going to look anything like the picture no matter what I might do. You are better off sewing your own if you know how. --------- UPDATE: So since I promised my friend I would wear this costume, I did make some alterations to it in order to make it work. I'll include the information on the alterations I made plus how I washed the costume. I wore this costume for max 6 hours. This thing is a sweat factory. I am not a sweaty person but when I managed to peel this thing off it was FUNKY. Sorry if that's TMI but I feel obligated to inform you. This thing does not breathe. At all. HOW TO MAKE THIS COSTUME LOOK OKAY ENOUGH TO WEAR IN PUBLIC (lol) First, I wore a long dark brown wig MelodySusie High Quality New Fashion Fluffy Fancy Black Long Full Wig Hair Curl Wigs + MelodySusie Wig Cap + MelodySusie Wig Comb , did some fun eye makeup, and purchased some plastic sais Ninja Metallic Sais to help out. These small additional details helped distract from the crappy costume aspect. To fix the costume issues, I safety pinned the holes in the costume (I didn't feel like sewing at the time), safety pinned the velcro bands connecting the top to the shorts, and safety pinned the mask to the neck of the top. When the mask is pinned to the neck of the top, it makes it lay down smooth like in the picture and doesn't poof out at the sides like a nurse's mask. If you wear your hair down like the model, it will help cover the sides of the mask and also cover any pins that may show. Next, I bought a black lace (I wore it so the lace wasn't visible) garter Lace Garter Belt and G-String Set - One Size (S-L) - Black or White and used that to hold up the boot covers. I fastened it to the fishnet parts (I had to rip a small hole unfortunately) and wore the garter under the shorts. You could also do a clear garter if you can find one but the black was the easiest for me to find. For the shoes I wore black sneakers for a while and also plain black heels Madden Girl Women's Getta Pump . I felt the sneakers worked better because with the heels the fabric kept slipping off. It didn't look as sexy though. I suggest using double stick tape if you plan to wear heels because the velcro bits do not stay put that well, especially when walking around. The bottoms will inevitably become discolored from walking, so be prepared for that. To solve the issue with the top, I wore a black sport bra underneath it. I was able to find one that was just the right length. If you want to show less skin, a plan black sleeveless leotard would work well. I think I may do that next time. TO WASH The best way to wash this is to hand wash it. Even on the most delicate cycle, a washing machine would destroy this costume. 1. Fill a sink basin or clean bucket with a 1/2 tablespoon or so of Woolite or whatever detergent you prefer. If you want, add a few drops (literally that's all you need) of your favorite fabric softener. 2. Put costume articles in basin, inside out. Gently swish around to agitate. Gently scrub what needs scrubbin'. (wear gloves if you have sensitive skin since sometimes direct contact with detergent will irritate skin) 3. Carefully drain basin and replace soapy water with fresh to rinse. The dirty water may be pink. If you aren't gentle enough, there may be tiny paint flakes. Gently swish around the articles of clothing to work the soap out. 4. Don't twist these to wring them out! Carefully, gently, lightly squeeze the excess water from the costume. You might be able to get away with twisting/wringing the non-painted pieces. 5. Hang up to dry in a well ventilated area. I don't suggest hanging them in the sun because of fading. 6. Once dry, leave them inside out (to protect the paint), and store out of the light to prevent fading. Hope this helps someone!

Not bad for Mileena
I bought this costume for my sister as the compliment to my Kitana costume, and like many reviews I had read before this costume had the same similarities in issues, many of which can be fixed with a needle and a bit of thread. The gloves have super tiny holes for fingers, so unless you have the hands of a child or your fingers and very slim, these will require some adjustment. The boot-tops have a habit of falling/rolling down, which is easily cured with a discreet garter belt. The mask is awkward, built like a medical mask, but considering my sister and I also designed a functional Tarkatan face to compliment the costume (my sister and I are nothing if not sticklers for costume authenticity) the medical mask design won't be that big of an issue. The shorts are modest, and the stretch of the fabric makes it easier to move. The designs/gold trim of the costume does flake and peel, but a little nail glue kept on hand to repair problems makes a quick fix. The belts that trail down from the top connecting to the shorts were too short (and she is only 5'7", so not very tall), making it impossible for her to try it on without cutting them off, which we will lengthen with a bit of black elastic we purchased. Other than these small problems the costume is exceptional and true to game design while still being slightly modest. (Not all of us can run around in public wearing a thong like she does now, can we?) I would not recommend buying this costume at the full purchase price of $50-$60, however if you can find it for $40 or less like I did, it's worth it. So if you are a true Mortal Kombat collector and don't mind a little extra work to make the costume an exceptional piece, then I say go for it. Otherwise, skip this one.

Costume was totally badass and everyone loved it! Sizing is everything so be careful what size you get. I happened to get a size small and it was perfect. Gloves are pretty small so I had to stretch them out. A little tearing can happen with fabric, but nothing super noticeable. Boot tops were a tad big for my thighs. Used double-sided tape to keep it up. After use wrap all pieces indivually in tissue paper. Work a little with the costume and it'll come out great. For the price and look it deserves fives stars! (

The outfit is not exactly as shown above, there is detail of a corset style work on the front of the pants. The straps leading from the top to the pants is fastened by Velcro and much much thinner than posted here. This outfit is meant to be worn by very confident people as it is very tight, very revealing. The fabric is shiny and stretchy, be warned though go for a size bigger if you are unsure as if it is tight it will rip and show 'stretch marks'. I was a bit disappointed with the finish to be honest as the material wasn't aligned up properly with the detail. Over all I was happy as it was just one night out and I got the effect I was after. On word though, the boot covers should be called 'heel covers' as I couldn't get my boots underneath!! Delivery was smooth, packaging good. The outfit was brand new packed neatly in the original packaging and I had no other issues.

Tutto perfetto tranne i guanti, cuciti veramente male. Nemmeno un mutante potrebbe adattarli.
