Phantom Glass for Nexus 5

Bought it based on high praise from many people. Works fantastically as a screen protector. It's crystal clear and feels like the bare phone screen. in terms of clarity and feel it is significantly better than any of the other 3 or 4 protectors I've used on this phone.Installation was a breeze, and you just needed to line it up correctly and drop it onto the screen. It just sucks itself on and stays there. There was one corner that did not want to sit perfectly (likely because I had to pull it up from there a few times while I got it aligned), but it hasn't really been a problem at all.I have had an issue with it cracking around the hole for the camera/handset speaker/light sensors, but it hasn't really affected the performance at all. Everything has stayed in place, and it still works great.

I became aware of Phantom Glass from a review by Linus Tech Tips. The ease of installation, near-perfect fit, and clarity of this tempered glass screen protector makes this my new standard recommendation.Installation is as easy as aligning it and allowing it to attach itself. I have previously used Zagg wet application films, but was never comfortable with the process or the terrible fit of Zagg products. When I learned of Phantom Glass I was intrigued and had to try one for myself. Unlike other manufacturers (like Zagg) that leave huge gaps around the edges and never quite cut speaker holes correctly, Phantom Glass delivered a protector that fits to within 0.5mm of the edges of my phone's screen and provides OEM cutout accuracy. Additionally, the silicon adhesive layer flawlessly adhered without a single bubble to work out. I am impressed.Phantom Glass is not perfect though. The protectors are excellent, but the device compatibility is painfully limited for non-iFruit users and PG is slow to support new devices from other manufactures.Pros: Excellent fit. Easy installation. Zero impact on clarity.Cons: Limited device support.

I heard a lot of nice things about Phantom Glass (LinusTechTips). I want believe that PG was one of the best. Maybe I just got a bad product. Like that one in a million shot. First 2 days with it was great. The glass was smooth and it felt great to glide my fingers across my screen; a lot better feeling than film screen protectors. Then the side chippings happened. Top right corner and about half way on the left side the tempered glass chipped. I'm assuming it's from the screen protector having a rough cut meaning the edges arent rounded. The application process was fairly easily done. No air bubbles at all. However, now I have these weird dots on the edges of my screen protector. Upon a little investigation, I'm guessing it's from moisture from my hand since it's only occurring on the right side of the screen (I'm right handed). I lifted the screen protector to wipe it and all was good but the dots would reappear. I'm also assuming this because since the edges aren't rounded, moisture can just seep under the glass. Overall, I'm very dissatisfied with this product. Most likely going with another brand for a tempered glass screen protector.-P.S. - I don't use a case so the edges are always exposed.

Arrived with damage. Was able to contact the company and they sent a replacement without any issues. Very nice.Been using it for a couple weeks and still feels and looks amazing. Can barely tell there is even a screen protector on it. I would recommend this product to people for sure. The price is a bit high, but with the lifetime warranty it makes sense. Just sucks if I am buying it for a device I will only have for a year.

I accidentally broke mine as I was trying to remove the protective adhesive cover :/ so handle with care if you buy one.

Been using this for couple of months and its by far the best screen protector I have ever used. Installation was easy and with no bubbles and it is very thin no bulk added which is good my book. The feel is nice very smooth feel to the touch also not a finger print magnet either.

Phantom Glass is a great product, a great idea and very strong once applied to the phone.However less fiddly than normal screen protectors this one may be, it does not draw away from the fact that if during application (which is like to take a minimum of 3 attempts) any tiny particle of dust sticks to the silicon nano adhesion layer (which is can almost guarantee will happen) the screen protector and your hard earned £23 is ruined and wasted. No one wants a speck of dust contstantly trapped beneath their screen protector.I unfortunately tried to use the provided wet wipe and cloth to remove the dust from the adhesion layer...just don't...I suggest you return the product if this happens and also be so very careful with it unlike me.All that being said...it is a good product I guess. Just didn't work out for me. So yep I hate it but I will probably end up buying one for another phone down the line, but remember their are other Gorilla Glass protectors out there.Don't waste your money.

Really great glass, but after cracking it again, I bought a cheaper glass skin and it was just as good as this.
