The SPRI Braided Xertube Resistance Bands are amazing! The braided design makes them super durable and sturdy compared to regular resistance bands. I love that they provide a great full-body workout — perfect for strength training, stretching, or even warmups. The handles are comfortable and easy to grip, and the resistance level feels consistent throughout each exercise. What I love most is that you don’t need a reformer for Pilates — I only do mat Pilates, and this band works perfectly! It adds great resistance and helps tone muscles just like a reformer would. These bands are also lightweight and portable, so I can use them at home or take them to the gym. Excellent quality and performance — definitely worth it for anyone serious about fitness!

These are fantastic for doing a pretty good and well rounded workout routine at home! Something to keep in mind also is that resistance bands differ from weights in a fundamental way since your muscles hold more tension at maximum extension; I feel that this gives me smoother movement and better form. I'm probably about as strong as the average desk worker who doesn't spend a ton of time in the gym, but does have some active hobbies. And I'm 5'6" tall. With that in mind, I think the blue band gives me a good amount of resistance with room on both sides - to make things harder or easier by controlling the slack. If you are about the same strength level but much taller, you might consider a lighter band and use the same logic for other scenarios. As for these specific bands, they are good to look at and seem to be built well and with high quality materials. The only con is that the first few times they WILL make your hands smell like rubber...faintly. Nothing that a quick wash won't remove.

I like these bands. They are very well made and have even resistance. Since there are 4 bands braided into one, I feel confident they will never snap on me. I've owned 2 others in the past and they never broke. After a couple of years the bands got a little dried out and crackly, but still maintained their integrity. I replaced them anyway with the same model.

I chose 4 stars because the heavy resistance band works as a resistance band should. I've performed exercises for various muscles with this such as bicep curls, shoulder raise and press, wrist curls, chest press and flys, back rows, quadricep extensions, squats, and tricep extensions (for the back/chest/tricep/quad exercises I did use a BodyLastics door strap in conjunction with this band). I've worked up a great sweat using this band. I'm taking one star off because the handles could be a bit sturdier. But don't get me wrong, the plastic on them is THICK and I don't see the band coming undone.. ever. It's called taking care of your product, the 1 star poster complaining about the handles breaking when he let them slam into the wall must be a lunkhead. This band will get you toned... work out 30-40 minutes a day. The casual exerciser may perform 10-20 reps, 30 second rest between each set... 3-4 times a week. You will see a difference.

This resistance band is a game changer. It will not snap when used. It's a good length. It has nice resistance for all my moves.

I love the braided cables. In the past I’ve used other brands that only had a single tube connecting the grips and they broke on occasion. This one feels like it will never break. I have three different ones and enjoy using them on all kinds of exercises. In particular I like taking them on vacations or trips where I won’t have access to a gym. Our trainer gave me several workouts that I can rotate through while away from our gym at home. Great product.

Amazing band and great quality!!!

I bought the heaviest version for a 2-week trip to Australia where I wouldn't have any access to a gym. I like it much more than non-braided versions because I am not nearly as worried about the band breaking. And the built-in handle is a plus over continuous loop ones (typically the style for heavier resistance). I did three main exercises with it: a seated row, a standing press and a squat so I could effectively work my whole body (even without attaching it to a door etc). In all cases, I either stood feel shoulder width apart (press) on the band, more than shoulder width apart on the band (squat) or placed my feet spread widely apart on the band (seated row). This provided heavy resistance (I am 5'11" as a frame of reference) for the standing press, moderate resistance for the row, and fairly light resistance for the squat. So to me, I would say it's roughly the equivalent of working out with 50-55lbs dumbbells at least for these exercises. For one arm exercises like curls, it is very easy to change the resistance by moving your foot that is anchoring the cable to ground either toward or away from the handle you are lifting. When I did these three exercises in rapid sequence, it gives a decent circuit training/metabolic training effect. I wouldn't want this to be my main training modality, but for a portable option, I think it's the best I have found (it's hard to work your pulling muscles without equipment). I think it's also particularly good option for older adults who wish to add some strength training to their regimen but aren't inclined to lift weights or go to a gym - as there is significant resistance but risk of injury is relatively low. Overall pleased with the product given my expectations and needs.
