General Tools 83 Pocket Scriber, 4-15/16 Inches Overall Length

First off, the "6 inch" and "4 15/16 inch" item selection buttons are swapped. Follow the item description, ignore the product selection button label,I purchased 1 each of both the #81 scriber and the #83 scriber. The #81 is only 1 inch longer, but it is *much* heavier and stiffer. The #83 scriber is much lighter and thinner than the #81.Both are solid tools (I use for checking for wood rot, wall stud location, and cleaning gunk out of narrow spaces).

I purchased one of these in 1966. This one is of the same quality and I think it will be a great addition to any toolbox.

I find this as a must have tool on my workbench it has many uses highly recommended

Essentially the same tool as the 60s vintage tool that I lost. Made in India and not quite as well made as the older made in USA one that it replaced.

For any of you that do fingerprint comparisons and are tired of the holes that are poked into the cards and the exemplars, or can't stand the pain and are embarrassed by the screams that are evoked when you drop the old fashioned sharp as needles pointers into your leg, you will LOVE this. The points are dulled, but still "pointy" enough for comparisons AND they retract into themselves with a simple unscrewing to take with you to court!

Bought this for my husband to use in his shop.

The last two of the same brand lasted 30 years, but I lost them. So I bought one, and a spare.

I mean it works fine but it's really unpleasant to use because it's oily, slimy, and smells bad. There's no good place to grip it if you want to hold it like a pencil either.

Listed as a set of two but only one is in the package. Not sure why.
