Great Investment for a Peace of Mind!
Purchase Date: 12MAY15Purchase Price: $183.82Update: 14JAN16 and 23JAN18Best item I have purchased for peace of mind while I am away. No monthly or yearly fees. No false alarms/trips and works very well. Very easy to set up. I screwed mine down directly to the panel located on the door (in the inside) of my home safe instead of using only the Velcro that it comes with. Since I screwed it down the monitor is much more sensitive. Just putting the combination in sets the "Motion Detected" alert and sends me a text/email message immediately. Tap on my safe now and I will be alerted. Drop something near it and I will be alerted :) When I open and close the door it then sends the "Door Open - Door Closed" alert in the same manner. Weekly email updates that show if your door is open/closed, temperature, humidity level, movement detected, and battery level. Also comes with a extended antenna so if your WIFI signal might not be in range the antenna that connects to it might help. This item was created for home safe security but I bet you can experiment with your home door, sliding glass door, and shed door (if within WIFI range) etc.UPDATE: 14JAN16 No problems since I have purchased the item and still no false trips/alarms. Since I purchased May 2015 my battery level 8 months later has only gone down to 70% (-30%). On average I open my safe 1 to 2 times a week. Great battery life! (pictures shown).UPDATE: 23JAN18 No problems with the product or its quality. Please Note: I did NOT receive any type of incentive to write this review. This review is my honest opinion after doing much research and purchasing this product for use. Prior to purchasing any product I conduct thorough research. "Was this review helpful to you?" if it was please select "YES" below. Thank you! :)

Does Not Detect Safe Openings in Low Light or Darkness, Handicapped Version of Real Elertus with Door Sensors
I really wanted to like this product but there is a major issue. The version of this device sold by Liberty Safes claims it will notify you if your safe door is opened or closed. What does not appear in any of the marketing literature is how it does that. The monitor does not include a conventional contact sensor to monitor whether the safe door is opened or closed. Instead the Liberty SafElerts is using a light sensor. If your safe is in a room with low light or a burglar opens it without turning all the lights on, guess what, the safe will never trigger an alert and it will appear closed the entire time. I spent a fair amount of time testing and with plenty of light to rummage through a safe, the light sensor still failed to trip. So while the temperature, humidity and movement sensors will work, someone working in low-light and not shaking the safe will be undetected. The real killer here is that Liberty's version is just a white-labelled version of the actual Elertus product. For the exact same price as Liberty's version, you can buy the one directly from Elertus that comes with both a conventional door sensor and a micro-door sensor. It does everything the Liberty one does but with the added sensors you can now also properly monitor whether or not the safe is opened whether it's brightly lit or in darkness. Don't buy a handicapped product when you can buy the real thing for the exact same price. The Elertus with Door Sensors is also sold on Amazon at Elertus Smart Sensor + Remote Temperature Monitoring.I returned my Liberty and ordered the Elertus with Door Sensors and couldn't be happier. It really is a great product. If Liberty wants to keep selling these it really needs to sell the proper one.

Not relialble in all situations
Does not work properly with a roaming (cell) internet connection, otherwise it has some good features.

I purchased this device thinking that it would provide a piece of mind, boy was I wrong. It did worked for a few months and then it stopped sending alerts and giving status. They do not provide any customer service by phone. All you can do is create a repair ticket and hope they respond to it. I have been waiting for a couple of days without luck. I will probably try to return it for a refund.

Works great!
I purchased this for my father (Christmas gift). Easy setup and works great on the iPhone and Android. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is that it had some connection issues, so we had to use the antenna. The only thing this product is missing on the mobile app is a "WiFi signal strength" monitor. This way you'll know if you need the antenna or if you need to move the wireless router closer..
