I'm debating on this item, but I do have a thought on the weight...What if you were to carefully take off the felt and add a matching size magnet w/glue and then replace the felt? Just a thought. Not sure if the size matters, lol, but maybe that would be easier to add weight vs. drilling any holes and risking cracking the wood...Great reviews so far, thanks people!!
