Black Knight (2) (Witch World)

great conclusion to a book that was Christopher Pikes return to his roots in the YA suspense/horror genre. If you grew up in the 80s and 90s this man was a staple, this book does not disappoint. The story itself is a very interesting idea of existing in 2 worlds at the same time, and unlocking genes that allow you certain powers. very cool. hope he continues to write more new phone novels and would love for him to continue this series. I mean he did give us 5 volumes of "The Last Vampire" saga with confirmation that a 6th installment( though they have been bundled and simply called Thirst, with only 3 stories written after the Thirst concept had been developed, the earlier books were collected into 3 book anthologies chronologically, as he has done with his "Final Friends" series as well as his "Remember Me" series) Definitely recommended reading" especially for 90s babies who love a good bit of nostalgia.

The ONLY thing I would say bad about this book was that it didn't have a prologue at the beginning. Since it has been awhile from the time the first book was out, I was slightly foggy about some of the details that led up to this book, so a prologue would've been helpful just to get my brain back into the whole storyline. But other than that this book was excellent!! Another great work from Mr. Pike (who is by far one of my favorite authors) and I am hopeful for a third book in this series. Would highly recommend to anyone that is familiar with his work, or to anyone that likes anything to do with the supernatural mixing with the real world (haha, see what I did there? - only people that read this book or the first one would get that). Overall I am definitely keeping this one in my library, it is worth repeated readings!

I was captivated from the first page, and couldn't stop reading until the last. I am never able to guess the end of Pike`s books and this one was no different than in that regard. It's a fabulous sequel to Red Queen and I hope there will be more books in the Witch World series.

Christopher Pike is one of my favorite authors. I love his books. I'm really enjoying Witch World and can't wait for more. This book has it all... a little romance, mystery and fight to the death. I couldn't put this book down. I want more Witch World.

I really enjoyed the first book, Witch World, but this one left me a bit confused. I am hoping this is just a filler book so we can see what really is happing with Jessica and her daughter. Too much information was introduced without any clarification and I Felt their was a lack of character development and the only new attachment was to Mark. The time travel aspect seemed to really throw this story off track.

Amazing book. Didn't put it down till I finished it.

I'll absolutely didn't want to put this book down. It had a great story that kept me fully engrossed. I really hope there will be more books featuring the awesome Jessica Ralle in the new future.

Not as good as the first in the series. There's something missing here -but I will probably still read the next offering. I've been a fan of Pike for over half my life.
