Vello Glass LCD Screen Protector for Canon 60D & 60Da

Haven't had it for very long yet, but am pleased so far by the performance. It was really easy to install, with clear instructions and also tips on removing it when/if it's ever needed. I feel much better knowing the LCD screen is protected from scratches/cracks/etc.The only down side, as mentioned in previous reviews, is that the LCD does not latch fully closed with the protective glass on. Hasn't been a real problem so far, more of an irritation... It does lock into place when the LCD is facing out, of course.

I bought two of these, one each for my two camera bodies. I'm extremely satisfied with the protection this provides for my screen. I'm a very heavy user and I ALWAYS leave the screen open (i.e., the LCD facing outward), so I definitely wanted something to help protect it from scratches. This simply protector does exactly that.NOTE (only because I've seen bad reviews on similar products): Keep it mind, it has some thickness to it versus the peel-and-stick screen protectors you might use on a smartphone screen. Because of this, the LCD screen will not close fully, if you close it with the screen facing inward. The hinge was not designed to accommodate for even the slight amount of thickness the item adds; however, if you just have to close the screen, it does close substantially all the way. It just does not "click" closed like you'd expect. The screen wasn't really intended to be closed like that for storage, but more for logical reasons. Since they took the effort to allow you to twist it and turn it, it only seems logical that you could turn it all the way around and close it facing in. If you think about it though, +95% of cameras don't have a screen that can close, so it only makes sense that this screen was not designed with the intent that it should be closed for storage. So, only being able to close it 99% of the way shouldn't be a concern.All of that said, buy this product, if you want to product your screen from silly scratches. It's worth spending a few dollars to product a vulnerable part of a very expensive camera.

One of the main concerns regarding to the "glass" (generally speaking about screens, LCDs, lenses, etc) is the protection of such sensitive parts of the equipment. Sure they could be replaced, but that's costly, first; and second, I'd hate to send my loved and very well treated equipment to a repair service just because a scratch. That would be entirely shameless coming from a high valued equipment's owner! So I do care a lot about the protection of those parts.That said, this is one of the best screen protectors I've used. It looks very strong and it indeed will protect the LCD against mild scratches and even hard strikes.One particular detail is that the LCD won't latch fully closed with the Vello Glass on (only when the LCD is facing in of course), because the Vello Glass is considerably thicker compared to conventional screen protectors made just by a protective film. Does it bother to you? Well not to me; I will never use the LCD facing in even when traveling and not using the camera. It will be always inside the bag during travels so this isn't really an issue for me. Not enough reason to remove a rate star neither.The installation was pretty easy and it took the blink of an eye. Also the camera looks a lot more attractive and robust with the Vello Glass on it.The cost is balanced according to the product quality and usability, and the seller delivered the item within the time I expected.In conclusion, I'm happy by using this product and I would never use a conventional film protector instead.JAS

The screen protector was too wide to fit into the LCD screen. The other reviews say they don't mind it sticking out, but the adhesive on the back of the screen doesn't even touch the surface on one side. Also because the screen is at an angle, because only one side fits in, it is just not pleasant to look at. Don't buy this screen, you'll end up needing to return it.

This is a great screen protector! It is very easy to attach to the camera, and it doesn't affect the view of the screen at all. It almost enhances it if you ask me. There are some reviews on here that state that you cannot fully close the screen with this protector on it, and while that is true, if you absolutely needed to store the camera with the screen turned towards the inside of the camera body, you can. But the beauty of having this screen protector is that you don't need to store it that way! Who wants to flip open a screen every time you go to use your camera? No one I know!Please, spend the $12 and get this protector. You won't regret it. Better this than replacing the screen altogether!

Pretty thick so my screen isn't allowed to close all the way but it does protect it so I can't complain to much.

...which in this case, is quality and performance. I was hesitant to spend this much on a screen protector when you can get a whole pack for the same price, but I'm glad I did. Applying it was easier than your normal thin screen protectors, some of which can be incredibly frustrating. No peeling at the edges and so far, no budging at all. I used this on a trip to Hawaii and didn't even notice it was there. I will use it for portraits in the future and if it stood up to a week being carted around Hawaii, I'm sure it will do just fine. The cost is justified.

Fantastic product with a relatively easy application. It does a great job of protecting my screen. As other reviews have stated, I can no longer turn the LCD screen around and close it, but that does not bother me in the least! Solid construction for a great price!
