Convenient for Tech Person
This smart light is convenient if you are a tech person. It is easy to connect to your iPhone because it supports Apple HomeKit/ amazon Alexa and you can control the lightness on your phone.Installation may take some time because when I first scanning the QR code on the bulb, it didn’t work. After restarted as the guide, it was all set.

Bright plus fun colors!
This went into my bedroom lamp (actually have two of these) and they work well. They are very bright and I love being able to change colors with Apple home app!The one thing I’ll say that is a little disappointing is the color accuracy, but I can see how that would be hard for any light. It says it can do a million colors but they are not very well defined. Still can get everything you want and I love that the colors to pick from are a color wheel that you can move around on.My light does take a little bit to respond sometimes but I guess that is probably bluetooths fault. My guess is this is just as good as the philips hue bulb. Save your money and buy this one.

They DO connect to homekit. Read instructions below!!
Summary:I bought multiple of bulbs as warehouse deals for like $12 or so a piece which is a completely ridiculous price for homekit color smart bulbs. They don’t interact well with the homekit color wheel, but Siri can make them the correct colors when asked and the FEIT electric app’s common colors can as well. They have a huge delay when triggered on, off or any change at all. They don’t work with any dimmer switch that I have been able to find, and They DO work with homekit. Despite complaints, they WILL connect. But you have to update them. Instructions below. Overall I’m satisfied with the product for this very cheap price point but I wouldn’t pay much more than that, and because of the delay and lack of integrations as far as physical switches go, I would not recommend this as a whole house lighting solution in the least. To break it down a little furtherEase of set up 2/5:these bulbs DO connect. BUT YOU HAVE TO UPDATE THEM!!! Because of the required updates this process is long and Cumbersome! I went through several of these bulbs unable to connect them to homekit and almost gave up before contacting Feit electric.. And I’m glad I did because what he told me over the phone is that Apple updated the HomeKit software with iOS 13, the most recently released one, and in order to get the bulbs to connect to the new operating system they have to be updated through The “Feit OTA“ app. After I updated the bulbs, which took a long time, I had to do each one individually and each one had to do two updates, they work flawlessly with HomeKit and connected right away.. and with extreme ease. Here’s instructions:1. power one bulb only. Any one you have.2. Download “feit ota” from the App Store3. Open the app4. Click on “more” in bottom right hand corner5. Click the first option “ Equipment upgrade GATT“6. Click on your bulb (since you only powered one, only one should show up).7. Click big button in center asking you to upgrade your firmware.8. Make sure your phone screen stays on or it may time out. I actually went into my brightness settings on my phone and turned off auto lock so I didn’t have to sit there forever watching my phone. It takes a while to update.9. After that update is complete, close out of the app and start back at step three again to see if there is another update. Each of my bulbs needed two updates to get them to work with home kit.10. After all the updates are complete. It should say “no need to update”11. Try to connect to HomeKit. It should connect without issue. If it still won’t connect, try resetting to factory settings using the instruction manual that came with the bulb. This should not erase your update but merely reset it in case there’s something messed up.The end, you should be connected yay!If you have any trouble, call feit electric. Their customer service was very friendly and helpful and helped me figure out the issue without fail and now my bulbs work. For this reason..Functionality: 3/5They work as intended but not without caveats. As I mentioned the delay is pretty bad. Sometimes 5 to 6 seconds. Sometimes 1 to 2. Almost never instant. This is a drastic downfall when compared to Phillips hue which has almost no delay at all but the delay on these bulbs is sometimes so bad it delays my homekit scenes. It always works, but it can take a second.. or 6. Get up and walk yourself into a room with no lights on, count to six and then turn on your light. Most people would already be in a room all the way.. and maybe even out of it too (I.e. grabbing a coat really quick or something?) before 6 seconds is up. If that kind of delay is not functional for you, which I feel like it would annoy most people, then this isn’t going to work for you.Unfortunately I cannot seem to find any dimmer switch that works with these bulbs. There are quite a few on the wall options for Phillips hue which is great. That’s what we have for most of our lights at the moment. But if you were hoping to easily be able to dim these bulbs then look elsewhere. NOW.. just because you can’t find a dimmer doesn’t mean you can’t use them with an on the wall switch. The Phillips hue four button dimmer will work, you can reprogram the remote through HomeKit to control any HomeKit accessory (which these bulbs are) or scene (which these bulbs can be programmed to). But I cannot find a way to use the dimmer buttons to just dim the bulbs or brighten them. What you could do is set the dimmer button to control a scene where the bulbs dim to a certain set value (say 10 percent orSomething.) but it wouldn’t be the same as being able to dim them and brighten them like a normal dimmer switch. Furthermore you can also buy a homekit smart button. I think Logitech has one called the pop or something. And with that you could turn on or off any homekit device. But obviously again no dimming. They seem to work well with the Phillips hue bulbs (besides the delay) and if I ask Siri to turn all bulbs green or red or whatever both Phillips and feit electric bulbs turn about the same hue.As far as colors go. The Apple HomeKit color wheel does terrible with these. It basically skips over red, but Siri was actually able to make the bulbs whatever color I asked her to.Also you can select colors using the “feit ota” app but their color wheel is just about as useless. Their app’s color selections works well though (just a handful of preselected common colors, including red). One last caveat, they turn white before the last on color when they lose and regain power. With the Phillips hue bulbs you can select what color or scene you want your bulbs to go to in the case that they lose power, or even you can select just the “last on state“. I can’t find anyway to change that in the feit electric bulbs, it seems to default to the last on state, but not without turning soft white first, which in the event of a power outage in the middle of the night that might be a little obnoxious. Luckily we have these bulbs installed in a place, not a bedroom, where that doesn’t really matter.Price 5/5:Really, $13 (warehouse deals) for a homekit color bulb is completely unheard of. Hue bulbs (which are arguably more realistically functional and easier to set up) cost 3 + times that brand new, and the cheapest I’ve ever seen hue bulbs (warehouse deal or a multipack) was $30 a bulb. You just can’t beat it. I wouldn’t recommend paying full price though because at $25 it’s pretty close to the good deal Phillips hue bulbs and they are way better.Style 5/5:They look just like a normal led light bulb. Even more so than the Phillips hue. If you are looking for a discrete set up this is a good option.Customer service 5/5:Friendly, quick, efficient, knowledgeable, helped me get the bulbs up with homekit right away. I have faith that if I have anymore issues they will be able to fix the problem.Long term durability ?/5:I’ll update my review if I have any issues but they’ve been working well so far just one day into installation. That’s just about it for now. Overall I’m pretty satisfied for this price point. As I mentioned they’re not really functional for a whole house lighting because of the delay and inability to integrate with dimmer switches, but if that stuff doesn’t bother you then it may work. Also the set up is cumbersome and you must update each bulb individually, possibly even multiple times to get it to hook up the HomeKit but when updated they do hook up the HomeKit. I want to head and installed these in places where I didn’t even need a switch, I just put them in a lamp and a dining room buffet that I have scened into our set up. They will never need to be switched with a switch because they turn off when I don’t need them and turn on when I need them automatically. In the end I’ve decided to keep these bulbs, and if I find some more discrete places to put them I’ll probably buy more if there are warehouse deals available.

No longer supported in HomeKit!
I purchased this light bulb and set it up in the Feit app and integrated it into HomeKit in December 2021, and haven't had any issues with it since. I purchased this same bulb a second time with the intention of adding it to my smarthome setup, but struggled for a couple of weeks. I tried multiple times, to no avail, to set it up in both the Feit app and the Home app. After going back and forth with customer service over the course of several days, they informed me today that Feit has discontinued and no longer support the HomeKit bulbs. My existing bulb still works flawlessly since it was already integrated, but I am returning this recent purchase as it's effectively useless. Hopefully, this info saves someone else the same hassle and hair-pulling I went through. If you want a HomeKit-compatible bulb, LOOK ELSEWHERE!

HomeKit! spotlight
As far as I know these are the only HomeKit compatible spotlights made. I purchased one to try and am very happy with it. It is quite bright and once set up enables DIRECT control from Apple devices (Macs, watch, iPhone and iPad) via Siri - NO APP NEEDED. Note that these use bluetooth ONLY and do not use wifi. This means they need direct line of sight to your Apple device and/or home hub (AppleTV or HomePod) and are limited to about 75 feet. The advantage is that they don't need Internet so in an outage they will still work. I used a clamp on lamp inside my garage to unload stuff in the winter. Being able to use Siri to turn this on when your hands are full is great.

Worked great for 2 years
Had this bulb installed and working great for 2 years. Then my power was out for 36hrs and it will no longer connect. Tried to reset and re-connect many times, including limiting my phone/network to 2.4G, but it will not connect. Maybe the power outage damaged it, but none of my other electronics were affected, so I doubt it.

Works great with HomeKit!
Easily connected to my HomeKit network and add to my automation timers. I also used the separate “FEIT OTA” app from the App Store to update the firmware on the bulb. That process also worked as expected. So far I have no complaints with this bulb and would recommend it to anyone looking for a HomeKit capable bulb.

Quick setup. Bright bulb.
This is the 3rd brand I’ve tried for HomeKit bulbs and they are my favorite. First Bluetooth device I’ve added to my smart home setup so I was concerned about connectivity and range but they’ve connected from all areas of my home. Response time is definitely slower than wi-fi devices as I’ve seen others report but it’s not a huge delay. Setup was quick and easy and these are brighter than any other smart bulbs I own (800 lumens vs 650 and less).Only complaint is the firmware updating process through the app. Apparently my devices were behind by two updates already so I had to upgrade but instead of jumping to the latest I had to incrementally upgrade. And in between upgrades I actually had to reset my bulbs because of some “read/write” error. I think I might be sticking with Feit bulbs from now on. Might even sell my others so I can replace them with these!

Excelente producto.
