Joby Gorillamobile Yogi for iPad (GM11-01AM) Multipositional White Protective Case Flexible Legs

If I knew someone else with an iPad 2, I wouldn't hesitate to give this as a gift. It has made my use of the iPad 2 so much easier! The design is clever and I can now position my iPad so it stands at nearly any desired angle. It can also be wrapped around one of my legs if I want to read in bed...or I can even get it to grip the tops of headboards or edges of countertops or tables.But I do have to make what I consider relatively minor trade-offs for the conveniences afforded by the Yogi - and I also want to note that what I consider "minor" may not be so minor to you. Also,this may well work with the first generation iPad just fine. I wouldn't know about that..But for iPad 2 owners:It is impossible for my headphones,or any others I tried, to fit into the Yogi's slot which is supposedly designed to allow access to the iPad's actual head phone slot. I also could not get the sleep and wake button to work while the iPad 2 is in the Yogi.Neither of these flaws matter all that much to me. I don't generally use my iPad while I am near anyone who would be disturbed when I listen to music and I have an iPad cover that automatically puts my iPad to sleep when the cover is in place. So...overall...the Yogi is a plus for my lifestyle. Will it be for yours?

IF you want an iPad case for work alone, this is not for you. It is not sleek, professional or streamlined. It does not have space for a pen, or a notepad. It looks kind of practical.But if you want a case that does almost everything else, consider this one. I have purchased 5 cases for my original iPad. This is by far the most multi talented.The legs are easily adjustable to any surface. They are well positioned to be stable, and can be removed in an instant and flattened to stow in a bag. They can also bend to hang off anything - so if you travel you can prop it on the tray table, or hang it from the headrest in a plane or a car. In a hotel room you can hang it on the end of the bed for the kids, or wrap it around the treadmill armrests while exercising. I also use it in the kitchen to hold my iPad out of the way, then I can watch hulu while cooking!As others have mentioned, the one thing you don't have with this case is a front cover. I haven't really missed it - I just put the screen facing toward the soft part of my bag, but it might be concern if you worry about scratches.I now have an iPad3, and I am sad Jobi are not planning a new case, although I think the iPad2 case might actually fit the iPad3. Fingers crossed....

I actually returned this product and got the ipad2 version.. but I'll commment here because both have a problem of not being rigid enough.. sure you can get it to stand after messing with it for 5 minutes.. but if you plan on hanging it on the staircase railing, that's a no go! If the legs were more rigid I'd give it 5/5 for sure as it's a great concept, but bad execution!

This product is simply brilliant. Forget all other cases! You want a stand for watching movies ANYWHERE? Check. Want it to do portrait mode as well? Check. A low typing angle? Check. A comfortable handle for carrying or holding long periods? Check PLUS. How about something that can hang your iPad in the kitchen while you're cooking, or in the bathroom while you are brushing your teeth or putting on makeup? Yep. Or one that simply props your iPad up off your lap while you are sitting on the couch typing an Amazon review....?This case made the iPad 2 irrelevant for me... Thinner and lighter doesn't matter if you need a case anyway, and this case makes the iPad 1 so comfortable to hold, who cares about 0.2 pounds and 0.whatever inches?I am a real Yogi owner and I am just thrilled with this product. Not much of a review writer, either. Just gotta say, this case is IT.

I'm so greatful for such product. I bought it mainly to hang the iPad 1 in the car for my 20 month old daughter, which is a life savior! I can easily download her favourite cartoon and run some errands!It hugs the iPad perfectly, and it can hold it firmly in place, with access to the bottons and the cable opening. I haven't tried it with the head phones though. It is also useful for typing, reading or waching movies and surfing the net. You can have it facing anywhere, thanks to the very flexible legs. I would like to stress on choosing your product carefuly, since this is the Gorillamobile Yogi for iPad 1. There is also the same version for the iPad 2.I'm so happy with this purchase and I would recommend this product to everyone!

I love this! What an ingenious design for securing your iPad in myriad ways and freeing your hands. I've been joined at the hip with my iPad ever since I got it last year and have purchased several cases. I may use them for transporting my iPad, but for leisurely viewing at home (e.g., lying or sitting in bed or on the couch) the Joby Gorillamobile Yogi is the best for me. I can wrap its legs around one of mine or smush them around a pillow and recline/ incline to my heart's content with my iPad secured. No hands to tire out or cases that slide at the slightest movement. Very pleased with this product.

this is a great product for the iPad; it's very flexible and can be used in any waythe only downside is that it is hard to put on and take off

Initially wasnt too sure about buying this as we had also purchased a simple gel case for the ipad. However it has proved to be an essential companion for the ipad.It makes reading/browsing/viewing videos far more comfortable than holding it. Despite being able to easily detach the legs, we have only done so a handful of times. Works very well in the car strapped to the headrest as an 'in car entertainment' system for our todder.

This is fabulous - the flexible arms mean that the kids can place the iPad in a variety of positions for watching movies and the like. A pity that they didn't continue this line of products for the subsequent iPad models.

This is a must have accessory for iPad ! Made the use of my iPad a real enjoyment! Very convenient for in car use. Just hung it easily on seat back for rear seat entertainment ! Amazing quality with a high value for money rate !! AAA+++

Je l'ai reçu hier et réexpédié ce matin à Amazon. Vendu par eoutlet-fr à 39,99€ (frais de livraison gratuit). Je cherchai et je cherche toujours un support flexible (à - de 50€) pour mon iPad 2 que j'utilise avec iSMoovie ou iStopMotion pour faire du stop motion (animation image par image) ; testé en - d'1h pour constater qu'en emboîtant la coque à mon iPad 2, je n'ai plus accès à l'appareil photo/caméra de derrière ainsi qu'au réglage du volume son ; les 2 jambes flexibles sont très bien (solide, flexible etc...) mais la qualité des attaches de la coque laisse à désirer si je le retourne mon iPad se déboîte d'abord par un côté pour sortir totalement du support ???
