Artland Midnight Black 11-Ounce Stemmed Goblets, Set of 4

It is a beautiful and classy looking wine glass. It’s light but doesn’t seem very fragile. It’s opaque black out and not translucent black. However, it appears that it is glass painted/finished with or decal’d black and not actual black colored glass. The bottom of the inside glass reveals a white circle that is rough, from which I can peel off the black with my fingernail. I deduce the black will peel off in time ... so make sure to inspect this from time to time before and during use to prevent drinking of the glass paint/finish. There are also a few rough spots inside the glass. I have encircled the issues in the photos. As it is not eligible for prime return, I will keep it and probably just use it to photograph my table setting then replace with usable and safe glass during actual meal, but I’m still working to return them. They charge up to 50% restocking fee for reasons inc. “false claim of defect” so I need to make sure the seller acknowledges the issues I have encircled as defects and I get 100% refund.

AFTER SEARCHING STORES THROUGHOUT SOUTHERN MICHIGAN AND NORTHERN INDIANA, I HAD GIVEN UP HOPE IN FINDING BLACK WINE GLASSES THAT I WANTED FOR A WEDDING GIFT. AS A LAST RESORT, I STARTED SEARCHING ONLINE AND FOUND THESE ARTLAND MIDNIGHT BLACK 11-OUNCE STEMMED GOBLETS WHICH WERE EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. I ORDERED TWO BOXES (8 GLASSES), AND WHEN THEY ARRIVED, 2 GLASSES IN ONE OF THE BOXES WERE DAMAGED. I IMMEDIATELY GOT ONLINE, FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS ON AMAZON AND FOUND THE EXCHANGE PROCESS TO BE VERY SIMPLE AND TIMELY. I DIDN'T RECEIVE THE REPLACEMENT IN TIME FOR THE WEDDING, BUT BEING THE HOSTESS, I WAS SO BUSY THAT I FORGOT THE GIFT IN THE CAR.....SO BY THE TIME I GOT THE GIFT TO THE NEWLY WEDS, THE GIFT WAS COMPLETE. THE BRIDE AND GROOM WERE THRILLED. NOW I'M CONVINCED THAT THE SEARCH SHOULD START WITH AMAZON FROM NOW ON KNOWING IT WILL SAVE ME A LOT OF TIME AND STRESS.

They are fun and something a little different. Conversation starter, too. The only issue was that one of the glasses had a rough, grayish patch on it where it looks like the finish was not applied or slightly marred. Not noticeable enough to send back, though.

I bought two sets each of the Artland Midnight Black Balloon and the Artland Midnight Black Stemmed Goblets for my mom this past Christmas...and for Mother's Day she asked for another set of both - and completely hinted at wanting another set ever since Christmas. Black happens to be her favorite color for decorating and clothing so these could not be more perfect...and we were unable to find black glasses anywhere else but here and they are reasonably priced.

These glasses are so beautiful. I bought them as a gift and they loved them and say they have been given many compliments. The only thing I didn't love was the packaging. For some reason, I figured the would be in a box with the name brand, but they were in 2 unmarked boxes. In the end, no one minded and they were carefully packaged so it was easy to look over. I highly recommend this purchase.

The glasses themselves are what I was looking for. But one of the glasses was broken okewhen I received it. One broke as I was unwrapping it & the other 2 had scratches on them. The only reason I didn't send them back was I didn't want to go thrum the hassle.

They are a little blue when you hold them up to the light, but were perfect for Halloween which is why I purchase these goblets.

These goblets are just beautiful. Very thick but pretty. However, one arrived broken & the way that they were packaged so securely, it has to be broken at the onset. But Amazon made good on it, as always.
