Seems to work well, no English directions
It would have been really nice, for the price I paid for this, to have English directions on how to operate it. I had to go online and try and research how it is used. Putting it together was fairly easy though.Small, doesn't hold much in the hopper but easy to refill, just a lot of refilling when you're making oatmeal for a family of 10...would be nice to have a larger hopper option or an extension to the hopper.Very nice, well made, I love the wood aspect (a carpenter's daughter ALWAYS loves wood... ;)

Works well, if you know how to use it
I love this little hand crank roller! I’ve used it on numerous different grains. The end result of combining several grains makes for a very tasty cereal. I call it oatmeal on steroids.Soak the combination of grains in water for a couple of hours. Drain off and rinse the grain. Then spread them out on paper towels to dry them as much as you can. Remove the damp paper towels and spread the grains on a cookie sheet in a single layer. Let dry in a warm place until dry to the touch. (Outside, in 90 degree temperature, this only took an hour or so). Send the softened grain through the roller mill. After it is rolled, spread the finished flakes on a cookie sheet and dehydrate them (or let them air dry) to make sure there was no moisture remaining. Store rolled grain in the refrigerator to keep it fresh. I’m hooked!

A small but very efficient oat flaker
If you want a device to make fresh milled oats from oat kernels (groats) then this is a great system. At the highest level of grain compression, it takes $0.50 per pound oat kernels (@ 50 lb) and turns them into $2.29 per pound of fresh milled oats. Making enough for two hearty breakfasts takes maybe 90 seconds of light work, but it is well worth it for the added taste of oats when they are freshly milled. The device appears to be well designed, and with oats at least, appears to be essentially self cleaning. If there is a flaw in the unit at all, it is that it cannot be easily disassembled for cleaning. For that reason, I would not recommend it for oily seeds, since they can create too much mess inside the unit.

Disappointed....
I returned this product and it is one of the very few items I have ordered from Amazon that I have been disappointed in. I own the KoMo electric grain mill and it is a piece of art, both in performance and beauty. The Flocino on the other hand, looks cheaply made. Fit and finish appeared poor; bottom plastic plate did not fit well and was slightly bent to fit, screws that connect plastic housing to wood base had bulges in plastic from the screws. Also, hopper is very small. For $50 it would be OK, but not for $139. I returned it...
