Good product colour is bright, quick drying and non streaky when applying other coats on top.
Brillient product easy to apply with a brush to sugarpaste or sugarflower paste, dries quickly too, making it easier to apply a second coat without streaking.

This tastes awful!
You cannot use it on cakes if you're going to eat it as the taste is awful.

Too expensive
Nice colour but RIDICULOUSLY expensive for how small it is, not good value for money in my opinion.

This worked great! The color is a honey gold (Glamorous Gold) but I was so excited I bought the Antique Gold as well. For people saying it tastes bitter-I put on two coats and waited 18-20 hours for the alcohol to evaporate. I tried it after 2-3 hours and it did taste terrible. 18 or so hours later, no taste at all. The packaging says to wait up to 24 hours, so just give it time to dry (lots of time) and you’ll be fine.

I bought this item to gild a drip cake. My drip came out gorgeous, and I used a cake brush to very carefully apply the gold paint. The paint was difficult to apply evenly, and it began drying so quickly that clumps formed when I would go over areas just a few seconds later. I'd reapply to try to get it even, but it resulted in a clumpy looking kind of mess. Even with these issues, the worst part was without question the taste. The taste was BAD. Like alcohol + paint thinner + vinegar bad. It was so bad I had to completely remove the drip layer, basically ruining the smoothness I worked so hard for. I tried to resmooth and cover imperfections with a lot of sprinkles and more piped icing. This item is non-refundable, so I'm stuck with an inedible, awful tasting mess I can never use for food. I'll probably use it for some crafts. Save yourself the trouble and pass. PROs: - Arrived quickly - Liquid so no mixing required CONs: - Awful, awful, foul taste - Difficult to spread evenly - Clumps easily - Non-refundable - Did I mention the taste? Renders cake inedible.

This is exactly what I was hoping for. Thin enough to write with but not opaque and only required one coat.

Took 3 good coats on the bows to get the solid look I wanted and 2 coats on the letters. Was worried about dry time cuz of some reviews but it actually dried within a few minutes for me to do the other layers then I left over night to dry for good measure before wrapping in plasticwrap. Color was great! I was goin for that boho light gold that looks good with purple, not the vintage green gold that looks old. Pics show the gold in warm lighting from kitchen. Also, no flavor or smell to this and I used straight from bottle. I also used it on a glossy glaze not nasty royal icing.

First time using shiny metallic gold ready-to-use edible paint. Brushed on crusted buttercream better than I expected. I didn’t taste it but my husband said it didn’t taste very well when painting the bottom part of the cake cookie. So recommend only using small amounts. Liked that it was already mixed and to the consistency I needed. Painted onto frozen frosting using a stencil. While it looked okay, I think it would have worked better to thicken with some powdered sugar maybe then paint over stencil and scrape off. Thick enough that it did not fall off brush and become messy.
