White Noise Machine, 2019 Upgraded Sound Machine for Sleep, Relaxing Sleep Therapy for Adults & Baby 6 Natural Sound Settings, Ideal for Tinnitus Sufferer and Light-Sleeper

Our little geriatric dog barks during the wee hours of the night, starting anywhere from 2:00 to 4:00 a.m. She doesn't have to go out (there is a pee-pad in her pen anyway) and never had any apparent issues when I would check on her. Our vet said at 14 years old, her issue is a cognitive one so she really can't help herself.The only location we can put her pen is in the utility room which is directly under our bedroom. We have tried a multitude of remedies since she started this habit in November 2017, including an indoor bark deterrent gadget, doggie Xanax from the vet to calm her, doggie melatonin, lots of daily exercise, etc. ~ none of which worked for her. We tried soft ear plugs for us, as well as white noise apps on my iPhone. We were experiencing the sleep deprivation of having a newborn baby in the house; not something that works for us at 60 years old...been there, done that!Our daughter bought this exact white noise machine so our 2 year old granddaughter doesn't wake up when their two dogs bark. It works well, and she highly recommended it.The design is simple and fits nicely into our decor; it's hardly noticeable. Unlike many products today, the electric cord is nice and long, which allows the machine to reach a wider variety of locations. The volume and sound intensity are both easily adjustable; we played with it until we found the perfect setting ~ just enough to cover the barking, but not too loud as to be obtrusive. My husband is a light sleeper so he can't have it too loud. Ever since we received this, we don't wake up when our little-old-lady dog starts barking. We found the perfect setting for both of us to enjoy a deep sleep, the benefits of which we definitely feel in the morning. It's been saving our sleep and sanity!

I have very good hearing. Nothing to brag about...just born that way. On top of that, my ears have been trained to pick out very distinct sounds. I tuned pianos for many years. My hearing is a blessing and a curse. (mostly a blessing!)I live in a condominium. It is a well-built block building of 54 units. While I don't have to contend with blaring music and shouting, there is always some sort of hum of various sounds throughout the day and night. My ears pick up on all of them...and sort them out (without me wanting that to happen!). This sound machine is just right to cover up the sounds giving my ears just one continuous, steady sound to deal with.The wide variety of twenty sounds with volume control gives a wide range from which to choose. Everyone is different, but speaking for myself, I can only use 4 or five of these sounds. My ears are more compatible with the Fan sounds than the White Noise sounds - which for my ears are too high pitched. The fan sound I chose is a nice steady sound that masks the other background sounds and allows me to more readily fall asleep or read in peace.This unit has a very good quality speaker which can really fill a room if need be; although, size wise, the unit can be held in the palm of your hand. It takes little space on a night stand. I keep it there so I have easy access to volume. The speaker points up toward the ceiling, but if you wish to change the dynamics a bit, you can place the unit on it's side and point it in any direction you wish.For my purposes, I am quite pleased with this unit.

Inobstrusive, but does exactly what you want it to do. Easy to operate and a low and high noise level setting. I think you will be pleased if you purchase. I am!

I love this. I feel like the fan is on all night, but w/out the cold. It is just the thing I need to drown out all the noises around me. Makes for a wonderful night's sleep

This saved my winter. When we don't run the fan in winter, we hear everything outside our window on a busy street and I struggle to sleep. This was a game changer. I can now sleep peacefully with the background noise!

Great noise machine with two levels. Provides enough sound to cover up other little sounds that would normally wake me up. Plus, the customer service from the company was excellent!

We take this when we travel and stay in hotel rooms. It really helps with all of the hallway noise and keeps the kids sleeping longer. We also use at home every night and LOVE it. It's very soothing, keeps you from waking up because of every noise especially since we live on a farm. Our roosters internal clock that anticipate sunrise must be broken, they crow all day long!

My grandson uses one for naps and night time, so I bought one to have at my house, I use it now in my room and I am sleeping so much better/more sound. and its nice to have it here for my grandson's visits.Highly recommend for all ages.
