Terrible insoles and Customer Service
I bought these based on reputation, which clearly shouldn't be what it is. These boots come stiff and take about a week to break in, after that they get comfortable. The problem is after a few months the fabric layer on the insole started to peel off (they are white foam with a thin layer of fabric glued on). I ended up tearing the fabric layer all the way off and kept wearing them up until fall/winter of 2017.I recently contacted Palladium about the issue and asked how to get a new pair of insoles (which I would even pay for). There response was one single impersonal line "we do not sell insoles, sorry for the inconvenience".BUYER BEWARE:I would think twice about buying from a company who doesn't stand behind their products or have any support system for them. I would also plan to spend extra money on aftermarket insoles which will need to be trimmed to fit the non-uniform profile of these boots.Good luck...

Ok for occasional wear. Chuck Taylor's are more durable however.
Fairly well made. Light weight. Will require insoles as with most off the shelf footwear these days. After just a month of five days per week wear, the outside right heel cup seam has begun to fray and seperate. Usually these sorts of failures happen on the inside where shoes run while walking.I only wore this pair walking six blocks to work and around the laboratory. They will make acceptable camp shoes, but I wouldn't trust them hiking or in rugged environments due to the stitching failure on a critical seam after light use. Treads prone to collecting gravel, but resist mud well. Traction on wet tile and polished concrete is excellent. If I could get this sole and for cup on Converse All Stars, I would have the perfect pair of canvas footwear.

Very stylish and comfortable
Like numerous people have said, you should order these about 1/2 size larger than what you normally wear. I normally wear a 10, but ordered the 10 1/2 and the fit is absolutely perfect. My feet don't slide around in them at all and I have plenty of wiggle room for my toes. I don't feel like I'm even wearing shoes at all.As for build quality, they seem durable, the canvas has a nice thickness to it and it has double stitching all around. The insoles look a bit sketchy, but it's easy enough to remove them and replace with the insoles of your choice. The one downside is they are a bit slippery on wet floors, I don't know if this is because the soles are still brand new, I'll have to see if wet traction improves after they have been broken in a bit.Update 6/24/17. After three weeks of ownership I replaced the crappy insoles with a nice pair of gel ones, and they have gone from very comfortable to downright heavenly. One slightly annoying thing is the spaces between the lugs in the heel are the perfect size for trapping small rocks, twigs, etc., so expect to pick up a few if you walk over any areas with gravel or mulch.

Not just a fashion sneaker, but heed sizing recommendations; they're a bit small.
Very decent little sneaker things. A lot of folks probably bought these for fashion purposes. I can see why; they're not bad looking at all. They'd look cool with some jeans or dickie's-style slacks or if you could pull it off, some trimmed shorts. They have kind of a hybrid urban-meets-hiker vibe. I feel I'm a bit too old to sport these casually without looking like I'm putting too much effort into staying current, so I don't think they'd make it to my wardrobe. However, I didn't buy them for that. I bought them for yardwork and general outdoor activity around my house. I'm sick of heavy, leather boots, and I'm equally sick of non-secure flip flops and well, I just don't do sandals. My yard is big, more of a field, really. I wanted a cool (meaning temperature) shoe boot that would keep my feet dry if I walked out into the wet grass. My previous canvas sandal-slipper things are fine if the grass is dry, but I need something for those dewy mornings or post-storm afternoons. These look like they'll suit me nicely for that. They're as well made as you'd hope, and I can tell will be very comfortable, once I have the right size. I wear an 8.5 in RedWings, Timberlands, Ariat, Sanuk, Clarks, and many others, and this shoe is definitely snugger than I wanted. It's slight though, and may not be a deal breaker if you want to wear thin socks. For me, I'll be sending them back for a half-size bigger. Then I think they'll be great.

Good Enough for the Legion, Good Enough for Me
These are the boots of the French Foreign Legion. What more needs to be said? They are the result of genetic engineering; combining the DNA of Chuck Taylor's with that of a hiking boot. These are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I wear them to the cafe. I wear them hiking. I wear them with fins two miles off the Pacific coast. I wear them in midnight raids deep behind enemy lines. I wear them swing dancing. At the end of the day, Rudy Reyes wears these boots and if you don't know who Rudy Reyes is then I don't know what to tell you, Bud.

Comfortable, well-sized boots good for warmer weather.
Comfortable to wear especially in hot weather due to breathable canvas upper but suitable for rough ground as well due to deep lugs on sole which grip pretty well. I wore these walking in hills and around coast of Ibiza in 20C + weather and found they were suitable for that although the light material means there isn't so much support, and if you have narrower feet they may move around in them a little - sizing is good though (I take, and bought, a 10 1/2 UK) and doesn't pinch my toes. Beige colour is light, almost cream coloured really.

Great shoes.
Have them for 4 years, great canvas boots....They still look like new, and sole unit is a beast!!! Happy I see these are still for sale, would definitely go for a different colour if I found them at the price I bought em (35 pounds). They maybe run a bit large.

Comfortable from the start
No breaking in needed with these - bought for hiking in Costa Rica and were excellent. Not waterproof of course, but comfort and grip are great, and nice walking shoes for general use.

Palladium - good enough for the French Foreign Legion, good enough for me
As a sufferer of shin splints and problematic knees it has been difficult for me to find footwear that is both stylish and comfortable. Converse, Vans, Chelsea boots and Doc Martens have aggravated this condition. I have a comfortable pair of walking trainers but they don't exactly go well with smarter clothes or for work.I searched amazon for boots and Palladium boots popped up. I then found these Pampa Hi boots and read the reviews with some excitement but they seemed a little too good to be true to be honest. The photos looked great so I decided to risk it and ordered them. Within a few days they arrived and I convinced myself as I opened the package that they would either be uncomfortable or an eye sore.I was immediately pleased and relieved by their appearance. I tried them on and within minutes my doubts and apprehensions disappeared. After a day of wearing them I was delighted. And further on they are everything I've been looking for and well worth the money. If only I had found these two years ago I'd have saved my self from wasting money on Doc Martens and converse I can't wear as well as the discomfort and aggravation these shoes caused my shins and knees.I will certainly be looking to Palladium for any future footwear needs. No wonder the French Foreign Legion adopted a Palladium boot for their footwear. Great quality, comfortable, practical and good looking. For me the perfect footwear.

Good lightweight boot
Good boot having been wearing now for 2 years. Light use. The canvas area on the front where it creases is starting to fray and breaking down. Another 6 months and they'll be holes. Limiting the use of them now. Disappointed with this as the tread hasn't worn that much at all.

Great Footwear!
I have just bought my second pair of these. I still have the first pair and have worn them pretty much daily for nearly three years. I wore my first pair on trips through Africa, the M.E. and Asia. Hiked up the Pen-y-fan with them and wore them everyday at a ranch where I worked in Canada's Rocky Mountains. I love the canvas...it breathes well and dries fast if wet. The rubber sole has hardly worn down despite the miles I have put on my first pair. As long as they keep making these I will keep buying them. If there was any negative, do not put them in the wash if they get dirty as the colour fades quite quickly with just one washing. My first pair are more off-white now than khaki. But would highly recommend these boots.

You can't go wrong with those, light and comfortable.
After six month of using them I can only say - they are awesome.Sturdy and light, keeps your feet warm and dry.I've been "torturing" them in every possible way and they deliver and never let me down.Would not recommend them for the summer but they are great for the Autumn.

quality as usual-
My second pair of palladium boots, the first pair being the best pair of lightweight all purpose boots I've ever had and are still going strong. Got these to complement them as a lighter weight summer pair. Again fit was perfect [ a bonus for people like me with wide feet] and these are proving as comfortable as my first pair. Build quality is very good, they look good but are rugged and can take a fair amount of punishment. Don't think I'll look much beyond palladium when I next need another pair of shoes.

Boots are a narrow fil
I was unable to wear the boot because the boots are too narrow, and I was unable to put the boots on my feet. The boots have been returned. for refund.

Comfortable and good looking!
These are very light shoes or boots, yet appear and feel sturdy in construction. I've never felt comfortable wearing training shoes casually, so these are a great alternative and look much better in my opinion. Not as unsupportive around the ankle as other similar style boots I've tried, they feel solid to walk in. They fit true to size. Glad I bought them.

Excellent. Perfect walking boots and go well with jeans
Excellent. Perfect walking boots and go well with jeans.Check out the history of the company as well - originally making tyres for WW planes. Also these boots are based on a design of the French military boot made by Palladium in Vietnam. Historic pucker boots!!

Great boot; hard wearing
Great boot; hard wearing; stylish; love them. I have been wearing Palladium for 20+ years, during which time they have been in and out of fashion 2 or 3 times! I am staggered at how much the shop bought version now go for; think their success in the US has gone to their heads! £70 for canvas and rubber is a bit of rip off, best get them on-line.
