Traveled to my parents house where I remembered by father had an old 220 stick welder. Rented a Tesla as that's what I drive at home and was disappointed to find out the 220 plug was a Nema 6-50. Hopped onto Amazon and ordered this which came in a day or two. Once it arrived, it plugged right in and did its job. It is very stiff, and the receptacle is tight, but when dealing with voltages like this, I wouldn't want it any other way. Appears to made well and I anticipate it will outlast my needs, if not me entirely.

Works great. Very sturdy. Using it for a 32 amp car charger. So far, very happy with my purchase.

Second update (with yellow sleeve): After using it under continuous 6kW load there have been no problems. The adapter does not even get hot. Changing my rating to five stars.----Update (yellow sleeve): After reporting the melted plug to ONETAK they sent me an updated version. It is working well.----The larger hot prong caught on fire, melted the plastic, and tripped the breaker. I recognize this is the older design (all black adapter) compared to the newly yellow sleeve, but this was a very serious hazard situation. Luckily, our house did not catch on fire. Someone else reported receiving a melted unit, as well.

Was wired wrong. Did not work. On 3 prong plug neutral was connected to ground on the 4 prong plug instead of neutral.

I have the 2019 Leaf with the upgraded EV charger, that requires 220v. Used this along with https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B072C3NW99/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to wire the charger to an existing 220v 50amp welder plug. Works great. Extension cable is thick enough so that it doesn't even get warm when charging. The Nissan charger gets the warmest, not this converter plug or the extension cable.*Update*I use this with a Tesla Mobile charger, 2023 for a model Y. (Model of Telsa doesn't matter...mobile charger does) Working perfectly. Heavy duty 50amp extension cord from a 50 amp wielder outlet to this, then connect the charger. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072C3NW99/?th=1 Not telling you to use an extension cord, but with this heavy duty cord and this adapter, I am getting the maximum 32amps from the mobile charger. Perfect!

Adapter works perfectly and stays cool under load. I would buy it again if needed. I think this one will last me a long time.

I bought this so that the 240 V level 2 charger that comes with the Ford Lightning (and maybe some other EVs?) can be plugged into NEMA 14-50 or 6-50 outlets. It’s now part of the kit!

We started using the cable at the end of September and it gave out in early November. Unable to contact the seller, we wanted an exchange but it will be impossible. $40 lost.

Works great with the Ford Mustang Mach-E mobile charger. Tested in a NEMA 6-50 outlet with the mobile charger and was able to pull 5.8 kW of power.
