Works fine with Android phone and Google home.
The packaging was simple as it came with an outket and a manual. The manual was a bit confusing but I still got it to work. It had a QR code at the front that led to the app. Setting up the outlet was easy. Just plug in and follow the instructions on the app. There was a manual on/off button on the outlet and a lot more features in the app. The app allowed you to turn it on/off, set a countdown timer for it to turn off after a certain amount of time, and a schedule maker that can consistently turn on/off as you plan. Setting it up to work with Google home was a bit tricky but still workout out.Would recommend as it is very functional.

This device should not be bought to work with IOS - It doesn't work with Apple's Homekit and the app provided on the app store is almost useless, only allowing you to turn on or off the device at sunset or sunset. The turn off when I am away or on when I get home does not work and you cannot set it to turn on/or off at an actual time. I thought it would work with Siri or at least the apple home kit, since it said it worked with IOS, but it does not. Works Great
After reading other reviews, I was apprehensive to buy this plug. I am a 6 on the tech savy scale and actually waited for a few days when I had an hour or so to figure this out. I was pleasently surprised when after 10 minutes it was working great. The pros are the ease of use of both the hardware and the software. The cons are the manual is not a complete guide to setting it up. Which is why I am sure so many had problems. You have to scan the QR code (which I had no idea what that meant, but easily solved with a quick google search and a free app). After scanning the QR code from the enclosed literature I was brought to a site with complete, easy to use instructions. Bottom line; this is a great, simple, easy to use plug for basic operation of on/off.

Want to turn off something using a timer or tell you Echo to shut something off?
I was so surprised by all the features of this smart plug! Some other ones on the market don't allow for a timer to be used but the app on this one lets you plug something into it and choose when you want power to it and when you want it turned off. Timers are extremely expensive! I'm currently using it for a Scentsy wax burner. Although you can have it on all night it's a fire hazard and it wastes your wax very fast. I will also be using it for my Christmas tree as I want to tell my Echo dot to turn it off at night to conserve power and for the safety of my family. I really am happy with this Plug and it was so easy to set up.
