Check this part First! Drum spins but no movement or noisy clicks from the agitator wash plate.
Easy to install. Pop little cap. Get a socket wrench. Hold the drum. Crank socket wrench. Wiggle while pulling up wash plate.I went to repair sites that all suggested clutch assembly, wash pulley system. With most likely the clutch assembly. By the way even that clutch assembly is easy to get too. How to video will help. I ordered clutch assembly, then after taking it apart. I could not find any damage. Then I read about a hub which is under this wash plate. Removal of the wash plate and I found the wash plate plastic gear teeth worn Down. No need to remove hub after seeing the back of the wash plate where the spindle gear inserts. Other lesson learned. I think overloading will cause these teeth to wear out again. Try not to over load.

Worked great but no bolt
It worked great as a replacement agitator for our unit. Easy to install. Disappointed it did not come with the bolt or bolt cover. Luckily I still had the ones from our previous agitator and they fit.

It works for Maytag Bravos xl.
Although this did not fix my personal issue it is 100% the right part for a Maytag bravos XL. Honestly fits like factory. It wasn’t too expensive and too hard to change just one bolt so if this fixes your problem I feel like it’s money well spent.

Built for failure
This and the impeller the washing machine comes with is designed to fail the metal teeth that lock in the the drive are not rust restraint, this plus over loading machine can cause this to start to slip and wear on the gears. Just means you have to buy a new one a few years later.
