When this hanger says "stay put," she means it! Finally, my stubborn clothes are actually hanging vertically, side by side, instead of slip-sliding away to the floor. Those tops that were always half-on half-off the hangers and wrinkled beyond recognition are a thing of the past. I decided on the suit hangers because I figured they would hold whatever I threw at them...from a very heavy shower robe to my lightest tanks...and they do! I haven't finished replacing all my various hangers yet, so I don't know how much if any space will be gained...but that was not my primary purpose in any case. I am extremely happy with the quality of these hangers, their ability to handle various weights of clothing and I will be purchasing more of them.UPDATE: 6-5-2011This is just a "heads up" for those who really like these hangers, as I do, or for those who are thinking about ordering them. Be sure you don't make the mistake I just made ... I decided to order another box of these hangers for the rest of my clothes. I found what I thought were the hangers I had ordered the first time, as the boxes were the same - same color, said suit hangers, etc - however, I did not pay close enough attention to the fact that this second box of hangers didn't say SUPER STRONG in the Product Description on Amazon. The hangers came, perfectly packed, looking exactly like my others, until I took one of them out of the box! It was the same size, color, but it was bendable ... really BENDABLE! I got one of the hangers from the first box and you couldn't budge that hanger, let alone bend it! I couldn't believe it. I went back to Amazon and looked at all the boxes and read the descriptions ... finally I saw that the box I must have ordered the first time said SUPER STRONG in the description ... the second box of "flimsy" hangers did not. Oddly enough, the price wasn't a dead give-away either because there was only about a $2.00 or $3.00 difference between the "bendable" and "nonbendable" ones. If you want the really sturdy Suit Hangers, be sure you get the ones that say SUPER STRONG in the description. The "flimsy" ones are on their way back to Amazon.

These hangers are really great for saving space in your closet as well as making it look aesthetically pleasing! They are quite sturdy and help keep your clothes in great condition. My old hangers would always leave bumps in my clothes and these definity don't do that! I'm very careful with these hangers but I don't believe they would break easy to begin with. If you snatch your clothing off the hanger, then of course there is a possibility of it braking. However, these are quite durable and I've had no problems with them.Update: Just noticed that they sent me the lighter ones the second time around. I ordered 2 sets of 25 and some of my hangers are thinner and are not the heavy duty hangers (18 lbs.) Not much of a problem considering I don't hang heavy clothing but the inconsistency is a tad annoying. It's not noticeable that I have two different kinds until I try to put pants hangers on the rod and it's too thin. Regardless of everything, all my hangers are still intact and I did not receive any defective/broken hangers such as other customers.

Good quality product: Solid, sturdy, and wide (fit three folded skirts side-by-side on one hanger). They can hold a lot of weight, like a long faux leather coat.Far better than plastic hangers!+ Silky delicates and shirts with wide necks cling to these and don't slide off. I swung a soft-knit, off-the-shoulder sweater on one of these felty hangers around my head and flailed it around for a while and it didn't budge. Awesome! I used to have to wrap the stupid sweater's sleeves around the neck of plastic hangers and hang it carefully and it would still slide off. NEVER AGAIN!+ The neck can twist. If my mind drifted while hanging up clothes on plastic hangers, some would end up facing the opposite way. I'd try to just leave them and not care (I wanted so bad not to care!), but I had to take the dumb clothes off and rehang them so they faced the same way as the rest. NEVER AGAIN!! Just twist the neck, and ADD and OCD are friends again!!!+ Takes up half the space of the plastic hangers= more closet space! Now there's room for my boyfriend's clothes too!+ Nearly silent clothing retrieval. I can get clothes out of the closet without the hangers clacking together and waking up the man (especially nice at 5:30 am).+ My closet looks classier with all the black, felty hangers. Marilyn Monroe would probably have hangers like these.I'm still keeping a few plastic ones around though:+ Shirts with narrow collars don't do well on these long hangers.+ Hoodies are too bulky for these hangers (more felty hangers for my delicates).+ Some clothes are nice to be able to "slide off" the plastic hangers, like men's polos.+ Plastic hanger necks are good for scraping stubborn lint out of vacuum cleaners.The only con:- These don't come in multiple pretty colors. Never underestimate a female's desires to color code everything and make every aspect of a house pretty and personal. So many businesses fail to see the value of colors...

5 years ago I ordered this box of heavy duty suit hangers along with a box of the matching shirt hangers. The shirt hangers were not labeled as heavy duty while these were. and while I didn't really notice a difference in the way they looked, the difference in quality over the years has been noticeable. I've only had a few of these particular hangers break, but the non-"heavy duty" ones I'd say about 1/3 of them have broken. I'd definitely recommend getting the heavy duty ones over the others. These allow you to hang a lot more clothes due to the thin profile, they don't take up much space at all. Another bonus: we have all very basic, "builder grade" closets that only have wire shelves and I think these hangers combined with a couple of baskets make them look nicer than they actually are.

I've had these coat hangers for two years. Out of the 4 boxes I bought, I probably have one sets worth left.If you look at them wrong, they snap. But, the velvet is a really nice touch. I got to say, if they were a bit sturdier, I'd LOVE them.

Amazon.ca fulfilled this order for the gorgeous slender black velvet hangers. This item takes up half of the space of other hangers. Nothing slips off either and they are not just so lovely to look at these are strong. Just can't do without this item now. The price was great and if you think that the black will mark your clothes. .nope! I hung a damp white top on one to dry. .not a mark . Exceptional purchase.

I prefer this model -{] as opposed to the regular -{ kind, as they are much more stable and don't break as often. Great value and they last a long time - only put shirts and leggings on them. NOT leather jackets, unless you use 2 or 3 hangers each.

If you need added space in your closet. Get this hanger.One negative is that the hangers can be a bit faulty at times.The hook to hang up the hanger in your closet sometimes break. So handle with care.Estimate to loose 2-3 out of every 50 hangers due to the above issue but overall, I think the Hangers are worth it. I've completely replaced the hangers in my closet with these hangers. Perfect for a small city apartment where space is very limited.

These hangers are made very well! They and very strong and are great quality. The material on the actual hanger makes them very good at keeping clothes on the hangers without slipping off.
