Best Book on Knitting I have Found
I can't tell you how many knitters I've recommended this book to. It's funny how a fellow knitter will ask me if a certain behavior of theirs is normal (as a knitter). And inevitably I answer 'yes', and point them to this book as proof. To be honest, I had knitted for years before I read this book. And there were things I actually felt bad about (such as yarn hoarding or certain mistakes I've made while knitting). But this author helps you see that you are the normal and average knitter. And that even her, the queen of knitting, often makes mistakes and so much more! By the end of the book, you will have learned so much about the craft of knitting, feel much better about your own knitting failures, and will feel like part of an amazing community! I can't recommend this book enough to both beginner knitters and advanced knitters alike!

Excellent read for all knitters! She will keep you in stitches, pun intended lol!
My favorite knitting humorist! She makes me giggle, snicker or full on burst out in laughter, because she tells it like it is with her experiences being a lifelong knitter and as a knitter myself I can totally relate and she gives great insight and tips to the craft. I have found this information priceless. I love the patterns and formulas she shares in her books and I highly recommend her not just for the Crafter’s out there but for anyone who would love to just laugh at life and enjoy a good read to get you out of a bad mood and lift your spirits.

Entertaining and easy read.
This is such a fun little book! A lot of great info and I love that I finally, after 60 years of being a mediocre knitter, can be assured that there are other knitters out there that love their craft but not always create a fabulous showpiece, sometimes it might be a total flop and best be headed to the trash bin. But all the giggles reading this book creates are many times over worth its price.

Still On Vacaton in the Land Of Knitting
Stephanie is a very practical knitter, when it comes to patterns. She is also a very engaging writer when it comes to her adventures in trying to make a living off the Land of Knitting. I've been reading her blog for a couple of years now and that is the reason I picked up this book. I had no idea of the scope of her imagination. She creates the fictional Land of Knitting to translate the culture that surrounds the modern knitting scene. I'm currently about half way through the book and have had several laugh out loud moments.

Fun Read
Always entertaining to read Stephanie Pearl-McPhee’s books on knitting and life in general. So much of her humor is easy to identify with and brings a smile or a laugh.

Traveler's Guide to the Land of Nirvana
While Stephanie seems to repeat some of her humor throughout her books, this is one of her best guides to why one should learn to knit. She answers many questions that beginners, and experienced knitters have about this art form (and indeed it IS an art form). She gives information, and justification about why we knit. This is indeed one of her better, if not her best book. Well done, Stephanie, please keep writing.

A great trip to the land of Knitting!
OMG! I LOVE this book, this writer, this woman! If you are a knitter, you will love this book. If you are a non-knitter, but know one (or more: we are spreading!), then I recommend this book as a guide to the World of Knitters. She makes me laugh, and feel good about my foibles as a knitter. I should be working on that hat right now....

From one SABLE owner to another
My SABLE (stash acquired beyond life expectancy)has been decreased by a donation to the local Goodwill shop. I feel pounds lighter and can now, without guilt, purchase just a few items at my local yarn store.Stephanie knows what all the rest of us Yarn Harlots are all about, and how we feel when one of our number casts off and goes to the great yarn store in the sky. What a pleasure to read her books!(Although I've never been able to knock off an afghan in 100 hours!)

Not as good as usual.
This wasn't as good as her other books, but still enjoyable nonetheless. I had no problems reading the letters like the previous reviewers, but you do have to strain your eyes a bit.

not as good as her other books
I have loved all the other books by this author but I found this one to be the same just written in a different way and not so funny. Also on kindle some of the pages are in a letter form and impossible to read even when enlarging the type, so I feel I have been cheated out of some of the book.
