It fit just fine in my 1705 Rochester Carburetor
The carburetor float seemed to be the wrong configuration for the float bowl. When in full carb. operation however, the carb work fine with the proper float adjustment.

No problem since replacement
I replaced the float in my truck several years ago and have had no problem since. Its a ford f-150 crew cab.
