A must have in the kitchen, I pretty much won't cook with any other cream of mushroom soup.
This case has the older labels, but it's the same soup. Finding a decent tasting organic cream of mushroom is a lot more of a challenge than one might think. So many other organic and natural brands just taste foul, whether it's for cooking or just for a bowl of soup nothing much compares to Health Valley. This has been my goto cream of mushroom brand for about two decades now. Also makes for a nice light bowl of soup. The flavor is smooth light and rich without being overly salty, bitter, heavy or stale tasting. The only downside is it's not condensed, which I don't mind but for cooking some say it's not thick enough. That can easily be remedied with a little starch or flour. If you're looking for a heavy soup or something condensed, this may not be what you're looking for. I use this soup as a base in casseroles and soups all the time, it does thicken a bit if you give it time to reduce down and the flavor just can't be beat. Like it or not, but my non MSG Campbell's green bean casserole is praised as one of the best, family and friend approved, and they aren't just being nice. Since it's not over salted I've also heard some complaints about it being bland. Personally, I'd rather have it be bland so you can control any adjustment to flavor better, a little salt and extra mushrooms make this really versatile in creating some tasty dishes. And unlike the Campbell's, theres' no MSG and it's gluten free. Cases have always arrived sealed and undamaged as shown in the picture. I've also found cases with the newer packaging labels for about the same price. I make sure my kitchen is never without it.

I love this soup as it is gluten free
I love this soup as it is gluten free, and Amazon is the cheapest place I've found it. However, I'm not giving it 5 stars because at least a few of the cans always come really, really dented, even though they're in a cardboard holder with hard plastic containing them and they don't move around. So I'm not sure if these come from somewhere else where they aren't sold on a shelf because they're dented? It happens every time I purchase these. The soup itself and brand is really good, though.

Would be better if it were condensed
This is not like campbell's cream of mushroom but it will do. I suppose if thickness is required, one could thicken it up with cornstarch or gluten-free flour - for recipes, not for straight eating. Taste is also ok. Not spectacular but saves me having to make cream of mushroom sauce myself.

Overpowering flavor, not a good replacement
Since going gluten free 4 months ago, I've had an adventure in finding what to eat and how to cook. The struggle is that quick, warm meals are more challenging and a lot of the "go to" casseroles that are quick but well-rounded all take cream of [something] soup.I did research here to try and find an alternative for Thanksgiving dinner and for one of my favorite casseroles. This seemed like one of the higher rated products. My basic casserole is:1 lb of chicken breast2 cups of mozzarella1 can of cream of mushroom soupand then canned mushrooms, fresh tomatoes and green chilis, to taste. (or rotel if spicy is desired)This product was way too runny and way too overpowering. The casserole tasted completely different and the mushroom taste was STRONG. Cream of mushroom and other type soups are used more to thicken and add to flavor rather than to stand alone. It was very thin as well. Ruined the casserole. If you want a mushroom soup to eat, you may like this. If you want to use it in cooking, don't.

Great product. Damaged cans
I am very happy with this gluten free soup. It is a breeze to use with casseroles that our family has traditionally made with Campbell's soups for years. It tastes great. HOWEVER. the cans in my shipments from Amazon are always badly dented! What's up with that? Are these rejects?

Perfect subsitute for your GF family
I'm new to the gluten free diet, and the hardest thing for me was trying to find substitute products for my favorite recipes, especially the comfort food casserols. This was perfect. The flavor of this soup is richer than Campbells Cream of Mushroom - so on flavor alone making the switch was a huge bonus. I've tried the other (more expensive) gluten free cream of mushroom soups and I'd say I like them equally so this won out on price. If you are making the switch from Campbells and using it in a recipe, you'll want to use less liquid or add a thickener because its less condensed.

Great Product
Great Product for those of us who eat Gluten-Free. When you use it for the first time, you may be concerned about the dark color compared to a traditional product, but it taste the same. We enjoy a number of dishes that require Cream of Mushroom Soup and this product has worked well in all of them, just be prepared for your dish to appear much more brown than the traditional soup you have been using.

Ok not great
As per some of the other reviews, some of the cans were dented. The soup is very thin, flavor is ok. Has work fine for the things we made
