I never thought part of a non-satisfactory review would be my cat loves this toy. My cat LOVES this toy. I took it out of the box and within one second he had caught the bird and proceeded to attempt to carry away the entire device and did. The issue is it doesn't work upside down. If the product was weighted or could be tied or screwed to a sturdy fixture this toy would be perfect. Because it is very light it is easily moved around by cats. Very unfortunate because I planned to have this to entertain my cat while I'm at work. This won't work since I won't be here to flip it over and put it back on place. The bird also already had feathers coming off when it arrived.

Hope to save you folks from wasting money especially during Holidays. This is the second item of 2 and both failed miserably. They randomly would start moving yet when you wanted them to for play they wouldn't move at all. last night I made a last effort to make them work and even though had brand new batteries AGAIN one unit would only start if held upside down and the other lasted about 15 minutes. I have had many interactive toys and this by far was a total loss. Due to being ill I missed the return time so I am out a total of $50.00. Regardless of that, even if I could have returned them, the review would be the same. WORST TOY EVER!!

The toy did not work when I got it. When I mentioned this to the seller, they immediately sent me a replacement. It works just as described. It comes on immediately at first and then when there is motion. There is an option for noise or no noise - which I am thankful for;) My kitty loves this toy so much that she has already destroyed two birds. When I mentioned this to the seller when they followed up, they offered to send me a replacement toy. Incredible customer service!

I really really wanted this to work for my cats sadly it does not. I had to put really bright light on to get it to work, and even then the sensor only worked when I picked it up off the floor and held it.It was sturdy however more so than the other products like this. I am just not going to hold the toy up in the air to get it to rotate. So my cats got bored of it very very quickly

I don't think that this toy is truly motion activated because it just kept running in the same cycle over and over again and I did not have it in direct sunlight. My kittens were mostly afraid of the motor because it was so loud, so I shut it off and they played with it because it still spins. However, they tore up and butterfly and bird almost right away and often flipped the toy completely over and couple play with it anymore because it is so light (they are only two pound kittens too). So I decided it wasn't worth it to keep it so paid the $6 to return it.

Thought this would be a great way for our energetic, curious kitten to work out some energy - but it's so noisy and erratic, the cats don't like it at all. Very flimsy and just not at fun for them - freaks them out more than anything.

Toy too short so doesn't extend beyond toys base. Spins way too fast to be a plaything. Cat loves similar toys we have but hated this one! WAy more expensive than our other similar toys too!

My 2 kittens love it! However they are pretty hard on it and the bird lost a wing within 10 minutes. Hoping to buy replacements. It's quiet too! I had to take the bird off to get them to leave it alone...lol
