Only big enough for a normal 8” midrange speaker Wouldn’t work with the Polk in wall speaker

This item is perfect at protecting the 8 inch pioneer speakers that i installed in my Miata from water damage when water enters the door.

I installed these around my UTV door speakers and the speakers are protected from water & dust & isolate them for better sound.

Will not work with 8” ceiling speakers. Too small. Not even close

I bought the 8" baffle for my Eclipse. I actually used both baffles to give a stronger "backbox" for the sub to hit against. The bass quality is greatly improved and my new sub is well protected on the backside. If you do the same addition, just know you will need to put your shoulder into the impact to get the first 4 screws started. The foam is very dense and requires much effort to compress.

As most of the other reviews have said this is way under-sized for an 8" speaker. However, I really only needed something to keep the insulation off the 8" ceiling speakers I was installing for the home theater Dolby Atmos speakers. The "tabs" (the square part) of the baffle provide enough cover to prevent anything from falling into the back of the speakers and the foam is stiff enough to prevent the ceiling insulation batting from resting on the magnet. These are cheap enough that even they hadn't of worked, it wouldn't have been drastic loss. Only two stars because they are grossly under-sized and/or grossly over-hyped as being for 8" spekers.

Place these around speakers being inserted into ceiling. Original speakers place without these installed and were filled with blown insulation when we pulled out. Improved sound once we installed with speakers.

I have to say that's a concern for the bottom line... Apparently they care about what they're doing!! Sound analysis suggest these are installable perfection...

Bought these to provide backing for 6" ceiling speakers with "dog-leg" mounts in ceiling tile. Purchased 4 only two would stretch enough to fit over speaker back allowing outer flange to rest level on ceiling tile. the other two ripped apart when trying to stretch them to cover "dog-leg" mounts on speaker back. Not suitable for 6" ceiling speaker application. These would only be good for automotive where they may very well fit an 8" speaker. Less than impressed with these but couldn't return them because they self destructed when trying to install. Wound up making back covers for the ceiling speakers out of acoustical foam sheets.

As many other purchasers said - these baffles are too small for 8” ceiling speakers. Too bad, was hopeful they would fit. The opening is more suitable for 6” speakers. Furthermore, I have just received a refund of $7.27 for these baffles. Not acceptable. They state that you are eligible for a full refund within 30 days. I would appreciate an explanation. Item was returned within a week, in original package, unused. Not impressed with this company …
