This book is standard setting! A wealth of insider information only attained by having passionate, knowledgeable gamers and writers who aren't afraid to experiment, and a strong relationship with the developer which this book clearly has. It has excellent breakdowns for enemies and bosses, which takes a lot of the guess work and "Why did they do that?" moments. The moves are broken down thoroughly and explained in a way that is both easy to follow and informative. It makes me excited to go back into the game with the knowledge I have now! I learned a ton of things that the game doesn't explain itself, and the various tables covering statuses, experience, difficulty modifiers, etc are extremely helpful! It helps improve your play style, while encouraging you to experiment more with moves or tools you haven't been using due to the thorough explanations of how they work and where they benefit most. In games like this, you typically find what you think works best and stick with it. This book will make you a much more well rounded player who is comfortable with every situation. Area maps and the guide for them flow really well, and are explained in a way that is easy to follow so you don't miss anything and know what to expect around every corner. My only issue with the book is some of the pictures are very dark, and the QR video codes. For the pictures, I would imagine this was on the printer, not the guide editors so I can't take any stars away from what is otherwise a perfect companion to Sekiro. As far as the videos go, I think it's a great idea but I much prefer to watch videos on my PC, and it's a bit excessive to scan a QR code then punch that address into my PC browser from my phone. The videos themselves are very high quality, the video encoding and gameplay are standard setting! If only these videos were available at the launch of the game... You won't find surface level, cheap tactics here. This is a book for those who want nuance and explanations from people who are obviously experts at the game and aren't afraid to experiment. This comes from a level of understanding that is very rare, and explains the delayed release to ensure that the level of detail was up to the FuturePress standard. It's rare a printed strategy guide goes into this level of depth and for a complex game like Sekiro, it takes the mystery out of the systems a FROM game employs and makes me excited to play more of it. All in all an amazing book and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to know more about Sekiro, or for someone who collects quality strategy guides. It's premium feeling from start to finish and no details were spared! This is the definition of the FuturePress difference and why they are regarded as the best in the business.

Excellent, well-crafted, beautiful guide with all the information you need, arranged and displayed beautifully. Never thought I would ever collect strategy guides, but Future Press is always good. A great guide that feels more like a collectible official art book.

If you have never had a Future Press guide before, then pick this one up (provided you like Sekiro, of course) and see what all the raves are about. Beautiful artwork, clear and easy organization, and it even has tons of spoiler alerts and a separate section for lore if you don't want any story beats uncovered. The physical quality of the guide is definitely high grade with thick paper stock and good binding. One new addition to this guide over previous FP works is the addition of QR scans at the beginning of each of the sub boss and boss strategy leading right to a YouTube video with the authors showing you the strategy they are talking about in the book. Even if you ignore these, the tips in the guide are more than sufficient to get you through but the videos are incredibly helpful to people like me who do better seeing it in action. And if you don't need any help at all but just really love the game, then the guide is a great addition to your collection. Even just the artwork alone makes FP perfect for your coffee table.

This pre-ordered book arrived late. Initially, a source of unhappiness until I discovered there were some updates in line with game updates which keeps this work aligned to the Patch 1.04 Release. There is exceptional detail about every encounter, location and aid to conquering the immensely detailed story. Beautiful illustrations compliment thousands of explanations covering every single aspect of the game. There were many things I was reading well before anybody published similar information elsewhere. Your thirst for knowledge as it pertains to any game element should be quenched but might just as easily leave you feeling that you are drinking from a fire hydrant. This is a densely packed heavy book that supports the branding of Genius to the game creators and developers and various nominations for industry Awards culminating in the highly prestigious win of The Game Awards 2019 - Game of the Year. This is easily the best Game Guide I have in an extensive collection and the perfect companion for any devotee of Sekiro.

To be honest the books is a tremendous help when I’m stuck on a level or I don’t know how to advance I read this helpful Guide book to point out what I miss so Far on one level I’m keep at it till I beat this game but this books helps a lot

If you can buy this book new for a reasonable price buy it. This book came out some years ago costing about $40 new. I believe this book is out of print now. This explains why the book cost so much now. The game itself is very challenging and difficult.

I want to give a 5 because the guide is so good. The reason I didn’t is because the QR codes in the book do not work, the URL’s are no longer working on their site. I e-nailed future press to see if there was a way to register but not even a response. Other than that the guide pictures could be less dark, it is hard to see some of the pictures but other than that it gives you every detail on how to be successful in the game and how to obtain the ending you’d like. The artwork is beautiful and tells you the story as you go along. Great guide just don’t know why they’d put the time to have QR codes to scan, only to remove them online?? If you’re going to sell and market that, stick to that. Is a bit misleading in my opinion. I love it overall though.

The presentation is beautiful and organized. It has all the pertinent information you can use for missed items and bosses. This game has multiple endings, so that's why I thought this would be a great addition to my coffee table. Try the first run alone, then open this bad boy up get collect all the things! Noted: I had to exchange the book once because the first time it came in an envelope and was badly damaged.

Amazing book. Anyone thinking about this, just buy it. You won’t be disappointed. I referenced this book constantly during my playthrough of the game. Not primarily as a guide through levels but as an info source about anything and everything I needed or wanted to know. So much stuff in the game I never would have known if not for this book. Future Press guides are gold.

Beautifully written book with all the pictures.Its a big and heavy book with magazine type glossy pages . Wealth of info present in the book. It makes a stunning coffee table book.

Sencillamente, son piezas de colección que en mi opinión le añaden plusvalía al juego en sí. Si ya has tenido una guía de Future Press antes, la guía de Sekiro no te decepcionará, y si no conoces esta editorial, no dudes ni un instante en comprarla y veras el por qué están tan altamente calificados estos libros. Lo único que se le "acerca" actualmente, son las guías de Piggyback, pero Prima y Bardygames son la nada a comparación.

I have owned many great game guides over the years but this publication really is the Magnum Opus of strategy guides. From the first moment that you cast your eye over this guide you know that you are in for something special. The artwork is truly phenomenal and the level of detail is second to none. Every single aspect of the game is broken down in 6 meaty chapters covering everything you could ever want to know about the world of Sekiro, starting with the Shinobi School. Characters, items, lore - everything is exhaustively covered. Major spoilers have been put towards the back portion of the guide and have very carefully been put in red boxes to help you avoid ruining some aspects of the game for yourself. Completionists will find a trophy guide in the last chapter entitled "Sensitive Information" but not only that, there are QR codes throughout the book which link directly to videos showing a particular approach or strategy in action which is a great addition for those who may be better served through visual learning. In addition, every strategy is broken down into small chunks with accompanying screenshots for guidance so the support provided is exhaustive. Overall, this is without question the best game guide I have ever owned, everything about it just oozes quality and love. It is a must-have for any Sekiro fan and a beautiful addition to any book collection.
