The Routledge Encyclopedia of Film Theory 1st Edition

I am using this book as a supplement for teaching a Film Theory course. Branigan, Buckland, the contributing editors do a solid and persuasive job summarizing various theoretical schools and positions on film theory. The writers seem passionate about the topics and free of grandstanding or axe grinding. Highly recommended for teachers and students who care about the topic of film theory. Note also the excellent bibliographies and index.
