Taking the benefits of wool outside the confines of your base layer, Ortovox designed their Men's Hybrid Fleece Jacket to make the natural benefits of wool work for you as an insulating mid-layer. Utilizing sustainably sourced Swisswool as a fill throughout the body provides this jacket with its warmth, and results in a fill that has excellent moisture management properties that cant be found in traditional down or synthetic fills. In areas where you move more, and as result stay warmer, Ortovox fitted the jacket with their own Merino Fleece. The fabric is a merino wool stretch fleece, which has the ability to absorb nearly thirty percent of its own weight in moisture resulting in excellent wicking properties, while still allowing for an excellent range of movement during technical ascents. The slim-fitting ergonomic cut allows you to layer this piece under your hard or softshell jacket, without it being too bulky, while thumbholes help to seal in the heat during cold ascents.
